Clean taste coffee….. ☕️
This coffee has such a nice distinct taste. I drink it black, it is so good! Not smoky, not over roasted, but a middle of the road deliciousness. Great breakfast coffee! Bonus points, it’s from Germany. 💁🏼♀️

Expensive, but I am "hooked" on it.
Coffee is "a matter of taste," and of course people have different tastes. When I first tried Dallmayr Prodomo whole bean coffee, perhaps 25 years ago, I was "hooked". It has a very bold flavor but is mellow (never stringent or bitter) even if brewed very strong. I only drink it once daily, at breakfast. I grind 1 large coffee measure of beans immediately before use, slowly pour boiling water through the grind (in a drip filter) into a big cup that holds about 14 oz, then top it off with about 2 oz of real cream (no sweetener). Mmmmm! I will politely drink other coffees served to me elsewhere, but this is the one I keep in my home. Luckily, it is now much easier to obtain Dahlmayr Prodomo than when I first started drinking it.

Consistent
I've ordered the 2 pack whole bean three times now and it's pretty consistent. Usually I get one airtight (vacuum sealed) and the other one in the pack has some air, so I use that one first. Coffee tastes good. Dallmayr is the best

And now I have a new favorite Coffee.
It is difficult for me to describe how happy I am with this coffee as I am woefully deficient in my creative writing skills.I can say this, I have been trying brand after brand, searching for my perfect cup of coffee. Not claiming to be a coffee snob or any pompous variant of one. I just really enjoy a good cup of coffee in the morning.Starbucks is not for me. DD, Micky D and 7-11 fall flat.Three sisters was rough. The local "Artisan" roasters near me need to use a different noun. The ultra Caffeinated and super Dark roast that seem to be the 'In Coffee' Fad at the moment is lost on me. Like Rap Music, I'll never understand the attraction nor do I want to.Any coffee I've tried here from Amazon needed four stars minimum and enough reviews to believe it's not the Seller boosting their image. My strategy was to buy a pound, or the sellers minimum, and give it a fair chance to win me over. So far my luck has been less than stellar.Until, that is, I found this little gem.I'm now going to list the best words I can to describe the coffee.SmoothCreamyPleasant on the palate with a subtle aftertasteRefinedMatureIt is by far the best coffee I have tried and is now my top go to brand. The price of this coffee for the amount of pleasure it brings me is a lopsided ratio in the favor of pleasure.I hope this review helps someone decide to give this coffee a chance. I'm glad I did.**Edit**To everyone who received a bad batch of beans.... I did too. I could not figure out why until I looked at my order and noticed that I did not get the beans from my usual seller, JF Distributions. I re-ordered from them and all is good in the world again. Take a moment and make sure you order from the verified seller. JF Distributions. the other sellers sold me a substandard product.-Ron

Excellent, Distinctive
Coffee taste: Like a lot of reviewers I tried this when I was in Germany years ago. It has a very distinct flavor. Some people say it is very acidic, but I have a sensitive stomach and I would say just the opposite. It strikes me as low in acid. In any case, it has a very smooth taste. I use one-half the sugar in this coffee. I get amazing compliments on it from guests. But it DOES have a distinctive taste. If you like the Starbucks dark roast (which I don't) then you will likely be disappointed in this. But it you like a smoother flavor I would give it a try. My wife, who had this for the first time last month, was at first taken aback by its distinctive flavor but by the second cup she insisted that we switch to using this coffee exclusively rather than our usual mix of Gevalia, Organic Coffee Co., or occasionally Starbucks French Roast. All I can say is we love it and so do our guests. As others have said, if you own a superautomatic espresso/coffee machine then this is an excellent low-oil bean that will help prevent grinder jams. We have a Gaggia and this works great. It also produces an outstanding crema coffee with a really nice golden head on it.

which I absolutely loved. The coffee she used was Tchibo
I'am German and started drinking coffee only a few years ago in my late 30's. I have lived in the US for over 20 years, so I didn't really had exposure to German coffee. A year ago I visited my parents and my Mom made coffee in the morning, which I absolutely loved. The coffee she used was Tchibo, so I got back to the US I looked for Tchibo. I managed to get Tchibo once, but after that it became very expensive so I thought I try Dallmayr. Dallmayr is a famous Delicatessen Store (cannot be compared to a Deli in the US) in my Home town, Munich so I thought I will give it a try. Absolutely fantastic. I just made a cup a few minutes ago and really enjoy the complex flavor, that is not overpowering like a french roast. The quality of the Beans is really great and for the price (2x 17.6 oz for approx. $24) it is hard for me to find a better product. I live in Manhattan and have a Fairway around the corner, that has approx. 100 different coffee beans on sale, but I haven't found anything comparable. I absolutely recommend that you try at least once this great coffee and I would recommend to buy the whole beans and grind it yourself.
