Barska Mil-Dot Reticle Reverse Recoil Airgun Scope with Adjustable Objective

I bought this scope to install on an air rifle, which are known to be tough on scopes due to the double recoil inherent in break barrel air rifles. The scope optics are clear, and it was very easy to sight in. So far, the scope has held zero well although I have shot less than 100 pellets since mounting it.

I am amazed at how well this scope performed. It was purchased to replace an elderly Bushnell sportview (circa 1980’s). I bought a Barska branded spotting scope a couple years ago; it has taken a beating and still performs well; so took the chance on this scope. Mounted it, 3 shots, adjust to right, 2 shots adjust down, now dead on at 11 meters. I literally measured with a tape the distance (it’s in my backyard, I have a 25 meter range but it has standard life junk in the way, so just put air gun on patio and zeroed. Very bright scope, holds zero (so far about 50 shots). Very pleased. Yes I will save up for a grail scope, but this should work for now.

This scope is a good air rifle scope. I have it on a Crosman Optimus which is a springer with a lot of recoil. It adjusts with good solid clicks and holds it’s zero. Good value. Throw your CenterPointes in the trash and get this scope.

I just purchased this and it malfunctioned completely.First, some may see as a positive, but when I pulled the product box out of the outer shipping box I thought the product box was empty because it was so light. Please do not argue, but in many cases weight means quality and this scope lacked both. Yes the weight was listed in the product details.Real Issue: Neither the windage or elevation adjustments changed the point of impact in any way. I have installed over 30 scopes and know what I am doing. As an attempt to reset, I turned both 100% to each extreme (About 10 turns), then back again to the other extreme, then back to imagined center (about 5 turns). Unfortunately too light to even make a good paper weight out of. HAI returned and am awaiting an exact replacement as I did not have time to research others. I do not have high expectations. Very disappointing from a supposed quality manufacturer. Positive: Amazon took the first one back no issues!2nd Scope:Recvd replacement and:I just received the 2nd unit (01/31/25) as a replacement yesterday. I put it on the rifle with just one scope ring to get it positioned correctly and look through it for the first time and there is distortion inside such as if there is multiple threads/distortions. I did clean both lenses to no avail.Another poor quality product and this issue could have been spotted by a quality control look through the scope.

I’ve got a pair of these mounted on air rifles. One is a PCP air gun, so no recoil to deal with. The other gun is a Gamo Swarm that has significant recoil as many springer and gas piston guns do. So far, it is unaffected by the dual motion recoil.I wish the parallax adjustment would allow closer focusing at the high power end. As you crank up the power, the close end of the parallax adjustment increases to beyond the marked 10 yard minimum. Between 15 and 20 yards is the best it will do at 12 power. Not too bad, but not ideal for target shooting on a bench.A sunshade would be a nice accessory to have.

Great scope, it replaced my old scope perfectly at 1/4th the price. Seems to be of good quality. Again, this is not your $300+ rifle scope, but it has held up to many seasons now and still works great.
