Great Quality and Value
I have had Gibson's Les Paul's with P90's and the Epiphone Pro P90's sound fantastic, with great tone and minimal hum. Of course the tone is subjective and will only sound as good as the player's ability and the amp/settings you use. Right out of the box (no gig bag) the guitar was playable with good fret work. I only had to tweak the stop tail bridge height and truss rod to get the string height desired. However, the lightning bolt stop tail bridge didn't have the string length/intonation adjustment nor was very substantial in mass. Therefore, I found an excellent replacement by buying the Golden Age Low Profile Stop tail bridge in metric and was extremely happy with this replacement. The GA Low Profile has mass and string vibration transfer I was looking for. I could literally feel some of the the strings vibrating into the slim mahogany body. Also, the 12" slim taper neck was great to play on and made full bends easy. There is no loss in quality in material nor tone with the Indian Laurel finger board, and with some oil it made it as dark as an rosewood. With one more addition with a Treble Bleed (cap/resistor) in one, the guitar was exactly what I wanted. The Treble Bleed is extremely inexpensive and easy to install tool. I have also played the older Gibson SG specials and could see no reason to pay the over priced version of this guitar. Basically you a paying for the "label", the Nitro finish and Plek set up and cannot justify the cost. Some items from China aren't worth the cost, but this guitar is not the case. I recommend buying this guitar for the value and quality.

Overall - Great Experience
My product arrived in beautiful condition, strung and ready to tune. I couldn't be more pleased.I considered this a starter electric after having an acoustic (which has it's own charms). So, I give the guitar a 4 because it is not perfect. It is a tad shorter in the neck length. Do your own research.I can't compare it to other electrics, but if you're getting frustrated with your acoustic, this is a whole new level of access and playability.

Sweeeeet P90s
Been playing semi pro and worship for 25+ years. Have been jonesing for an axe with P90s. Didn’t want to pay 3x the money for a Gibson for only a 25% improvement so took a chance on an Epi. Happy to have pulled the trigger on this one though. Had to adjust the neck “back bow” with the truss rod. Needed to adjust the string and PU height. Had to repair the volume knob shaft tension (too loose and fell off). However, when all these house keeping task were completed the guitar played and sounded like a dream. Next I will consider relocating the strap button to the upper horn but not quite brave enough for that one yet. Worth buying. Oh and new strings too. Seller was extremely easy to work with and fast shipping.Update: Relocated strap button, did not completely cure the neck dive but definitely the body flop. Also helps reposition the guitar to reduce the reach to the nut.

the one they sent me was defective
the guitar was packaged well and was set up well. however, the Pick Ups did not work in the middle and neck position. No sound at all. Faulty electronics somewhere in the guitar. Sent it back.
