Glucosamine is an important supplement for anyone who does high impact exercise, such as running; it's also beneficial for arthritis prevention. Glucosamine is one of the building blocks of cartilage, and while studies seem to produce conflicting results, it may protect against cartilage damage and help prevent knee pain. Since these are gel caps and are much smaller than most glucosamine capsules, they are easier to swallow, though they are still somewhat wide (a little more than the width of a woman's pinkie), so you may still have trouble if swallowing pills is a significant issue for you. Most people shouldn't have a problem, especially because they are smooth. There is no aftertaste.It's hard to tell whether or not these are the best value for your money, because they offer less glucosamine per capsule than most brands, but do contain other supplements, notably fish oil. These only contain 600 mg of glucosamine hydrochloride, compared to the 1,500 mg of the other brand we have in the house. There must be no standard serving size, because the label for the higher dose supplement says the serving size is "three capsules," whereas the Omegaflex box says "two capsules." At two capsules a day, these 60 pills will only last one month, vs. the 240 capsules in the other brand, which is the same price. The Omegaflex supplement also does not contain chondroitin, another join-protecting ingredient contained in most glucosamine capsules. It does, however, offer other beneficial ingredients, including 360 mg of Omega-3 fish oil concentrate per serving (250-500 mg is usually the daily recommended dose) from wild anchovies. The box also says that each serving (again, two capsules) contains 40 mg of Vitamin C (roughly half the daily dose) and a small amount of Vitamin E.I will update with longer-term results, but so far, these capsules seem to be a good product.

I didn't expect much when I bought this, but I loved the B vitamin from this company, so I thought I'd give this a try. I figured it was a good source for the omega 3 and 6 oils if nothing else.It took a few weeks for me to realize it, but this really does help my poor knees. The stiffness and pain are almost totally gone, and I'm only about half way through the package. I will definitely be keeping this as an ongoing order

I took a chance on ordering this item and I am so glad I did! Omegaflex works wonderfully! My knees were so stiff and sore but after one week I can tell a tremendous change! I plan to order more. Thank you!
