Dry-Packs Loose/Bulk Silica Gel Orange Indicating Desiccant - 4.5 LBS, (4.5LBS-ORANGE-2-4mm)

The indicating silica gel takes the guesswork out of when to refresh the desiccant you are using to protect tools and equipment from humidity, as well as when it is ready for service again. Getting it in the bulk pack let me make all the desiccant containers that I needed for my purposes. When the gel turned green it was easy to swap out in the containers. Baking the gel at 240 degrees F in the oven did indeed restore the gel to service. It took longer than the three hours suggested but that seemed to have to do with having it over an inch deep in the baking dish I was using. I would recommend using the largest baking pan you have so that the layer of beads is very thin, then you should be able to get the moisture baked out in three hours.

So far so good, they do absorb a lot faster than i thought they would though.

Works great, so far no complaints. When they absorb water they change from orange to dark green/blue. Can be reused by baking them at a Med to low temp. In the oven

Removes water from our air lines, turns green when spent like it should, and regenerates without issue in a 110C oven.

Indicator works well until beads break, then they start to fade rapidly still effective as a dessicant but without certainty of when fully saturated.

Package came in and was exactly as shown on the image. The material turns a light blue when saturated with moisture.

This is just a good product to have 2kgs of laying around the house. If you need to dry something out in a hurry(like a cellphone that has fallen in the toilet, or some flowers) then put it in a jar with some of this stuff. This will change to a blue/green color when it gets saturated so you just stick it in the oven or in a place that is relatively dryer, and it will turn back to orange again as it is re-activated.

Order this for my 3D printer filaments; works flawlessly ! You can restore the beads by heating them in the oven for a few hours at low temperature.

This stuff seems to work as it should. I have used about 100g of it and it did turn green when full. I recharged it once in the oven and it turned completely orange and I am using it again. I don't know how many cycles it will last, but so far so good. The bead size is not consistent and there are a lot of crushed beads in the bag. This is annoying when putting it in a mesh bag or perforated container.
