Dolce HandKnits: Simple, Sophisticated Designs Paperback – November 16, 2010

This book is filled with strong instructions, beautiful photographs and projects that I am able to do. There is something for everyone. I've tweaked many of the projects I want to make and that's what I do. However, there is very little that needs to be done and I find the fit to be exceptional in the garment I've made. While not all on trend, many of the designs easily are timeless and deserve the work placed into them and the yarns to make them heirloom.While I have elected not to use many of the fibers suggested, I am planning to use fibers with similar structure and drape. I will update this review as I make garments and work on shaping.I am a reasonably new continental knitter. I do wish there were more schematics, but that is just starting in knitting, unlike crochet and will take a while. I do have software that will convert many of the harder bits into schematics, if I post the pattern in the program. It's not fun, but I always do better with a map, rather than a sea of words. Dyslexia.

I found the patterns to be very easy to follow. The design is well thought out and practical while being extremely beautiful.

This is a really good book if you want some classic (and classy) garments. The book spans all seasons, so you can always find an excuse to knit. Everything is well explained and well charted. If you want to start a pattern, just check if there are any errors and knit away. I love all the designs in this book. It's a winner for me, and I'm an intermediate knitter. There are lots of beautiful photos and ideas in this book, along with a helpful section about different stitches. Worth every penny.

There are some sure trendy pieces in this book, however had I known that EVERY pattern was knit flat and not in the round I wouldn’t have purchased this. I do not enjoy seaming.

This book has many beautiful patterns,but this is not the book for plus sized women. A friend of mine looked through it and was a little disappointed. Most of the sizes measured from 40" to 49",with one measuring 50". But other than that,I love this book. Have already picked out a couple of must haves.

I love, love, love this book! I just bought the yarn to make yet another of the beautiful patterns. If you love to knit, you can't go wrong with this book. So, forget it Amazon-be content to sell it, don't expect to get it back.

well written patterns

Nice collections of spring and summer, pretty items for the medium to advanced knitter. A couple of easy ones. I'm looking forward to casting one on soon!
