Sturdy!
I used to have a gooseneck holder for when I read in bed, but after 2yrs it got worn out and wouldn't stay up anymore. So when I went searching for a new adjustable holder, I was excited for this one since it's all metal with springs. The main clamp fit over my thick headboard and I was able to screw it on tightly. The arms also have knobs that can be tightened to better secure the angle you'd like, which I appreciated. My iPad fits snuggly into the end clamp - I used to have the gooseneck holder clamp onto the sides of my iPad, but this one is too large for that so it clamps onto the top and bottom of my iPad. There are holes on the clamps that allow me to still charge my iPad even while it's behind held. I haven't tried it with my iPad case on, but that might work if you don't like to constantly switch between having a case on and not.Besides the part that clamps onto my headboard and the part that holds my iPad, everything else was assembled when it arrived in the box (thank the gods), so I didn't struggle with any screws or whatnot.I would say this would be a great holder to take on trips if you want it, since it can be folded down to it's original shape and taken apart very easily to store in a bag.Keep in mind that once you tighten the bolts, there is no give, so if you need to adjust it and/or move it when you're done, you'll need to loosen the bolts to do so, otherwise you might wear out the sturdiness of it by using brute force.Overall, I'm thankful I found this product and am excited to read in bed comfortably again. I got this through Prime overnight, so I did not have to wait long at all.Disclaimer: sorry if I misuse the words clamps or bolts, I don't know the technical terms for the pieces I am adjusting to place the product how I want it.

Limited articulation. Good if you don't really care. Not good if you do.
Just to be clear, I could not expect anything high quality for this price, and it's cheap enough that i don't feel the need to return it.It's as cheaply made as something as cheap as this, so par for the course as far as quality goes at this price range. You ever have an articulated desk lamp? Same quality, just with an (actually decent) mount for the tablet, it holds well. no complaints there. If you really care about quality, you know better than to go for this. Personally, I am just over the threshold for caring enough that i'm going to order a different brand, and its cheap enough that i don't really feel like having to go to ups to return it so it'll be used eventually, i guess. (You win this round, random chinese company that will surely no longer operate by its existing name within a year),Anyway, I wish this had more articulation to it. it only travels in a straight line, which wouldn't be a problem if the other joints allowed more than just a few degrees. you have to set it up directly in line of sight which if you want resting to the side while you watch tv at the same time because you are an absolute slob like me, means that you will not be able to look at this straight on.basically if you dont have the mount directly in front of or behind your head, you'll always be looking at this from the side. If there were just the slightest bit more movement in the two joints that move (horizontally?) this wouldn't be an issue. but whatever, it's cheap. i got what i paid for.UPDATEall the complaints i had are still there. Bumping it up a star bc it is cheap and gets the job done.

Would Not Stay in Place—Total Letdown 😤📱
I really wanted to like this tablet stand, but it was a huge disappointment. The clamp that’s supposed to hold the device in place is terrible—it never felt secure, and no matter how many times I adjusted or tightened it, my tablet kept slipping or falling over completely. It claims to be compatible with devices up to 12.9 inches, but it couldn’t even handle my iPad without tipping or drooping. The whole setup just feels flimsy and unreliable, and it made trying to use it more frustrating than helpful.I ended up giving up and putting it back in the box and returning it. Definitely not worth the money. Save yourself the hassle and look for something sturdier that actually does what it says. 👎

Perfect Solution!
This is very well built! The clamp is not cheap plastic like some I have seen. It is made from heavy gauge steel and can be clamped down HARD!My head board is padded and I was able to clamp it down through the padding and got a solid hold. The frame (arm) is made from pretty heavy gauge square, aluminum tubing. I had a desk lamp that had the same type of frame that lasted me over 20 years. (See pictures)I was floating the idea of investing in a smart TV for my bedroom, but my room is pretty small. I couldn't figure out where to put a TV where I was not going to bash my head on it if it was on the wall. My dresser drawer set is way too small for a TV.My TV provider allows streaming on devices, so this is the perfect solution! So now, I can watch TV in bed, using the Android tablet I already owned and didn't have to buy a TV or figure out where to put it. When I am finished watching TV, I can check my Email, check my texting app, etc.. Then I just swing the whole thing out of the way above my head board.I believe this product is well worth what I paid for it and I am certain it will serve me well for years to come.
