I chose the 'wine red' version which I think is a unique colour among leather items. It really pops and will add some individuality to your note taking experience. The stitching is very well done and the overall sturdiness boasts confidence that it will last for many years. There is a slot in the hinge for housing a pen/pencil and two slits on one of the inside covers which can be used to hold a business card or something of near equal proportion.Do note that it does not come a 3" X 5" notebook equipped like it shows in the photos, so you will need to purchase some of those if you wish to make use of it straight away.

This is well-made consisting of heavy leather that looks like it will last. My only complaint is the bulkiness which results. However, there are two card slots and I have used it as a wallet (license and debit card) in addition to a notebook.

It did not come with paper and easily scarred just if something touches it.
