GIGABYTE GP-P550B 80 Plus Bronze Power Supply

Reviewing after using it for almost 6 months. So this will be a long term use review with my honest opinions and suggestions. May be this will be a bit lengthy but I will try to vover every aspect of it...1.Packaging- So the first initial impressions of a product comes from packaging but amazon did a very bad job for it. They delivered the item in the original manufacturer box with some stickers on it. That means no extra protection was included. So, bad to see such things from such big brands like amazon. And for that the box was little damaged while shipping. But thanks to Gigabyte who provided really good foam packaging material inside the box to protect the Power Supply. After all packaging was teribble.I found everything to be safe and brand new. No problems regarding that. We get the power supply with attached cables(no modular system in this price point), instruction manual and Power cord.2.Performance-Now lets talk about the main item the power supply. But before that lets talk about my system, I know you guys will think me crazy or stupid after listening what I actually paired with just 450w power supply. My PC configuration is Ryzen 5 3600 + Aorus Elite B450 + Gigabyte Gtx 1660 super 2x edition. So at first I know it requires atleast 550w power supply but trust me guys in this 6 months I never found a single problem with this 450w. As it is more capable of delivering high powers when required. That's why you should go with a good brand power suppply with good ratings.Now again coming to main products its really good with 120mm silent cooling fan. The fan never Ramps up in normal condition but when in load it ramps up but still not loud I must say. I like the build quality. There are many connector in this power supply. Starting with 24PIN ATX, 1*8pin CPU,2*8Pin PCIE for gpu,7 sata, 6 molex with 1 floppy connector. So overall it is nice. It is not a modular power supply but thats fine in this price point. Their is another version available of it with high watt rating of 550w, model is p550b. See guys this is great power supply with 80 plus bronze rating. Oh I forgot about the cable quality. Here is why it is better than Corsair Vs450, it comes with black flat cables. Every cables are black flat type so it gives a premium loook of PC. So after alll great for price that it comes, I got it for about Rs.3000. A great deal.3. Conclusion- Just go for it, no problem regarding any thing just keep in mind its is a non-modular power supply so you have to do cable management for extra cables. Otherwise no power supply in this proce point have such a great quality with such pros. It is better than Corsair vs450.Pros-1. Good Quality Material is used.2. Best Cable type(flat and black) in this price range.3. Many connectors available.(Rather than dual 8 pin cpu, only 1 8 pin cpu is their) .4. Good power delivery.5. Silent fan.6. Long wiresCons-1. Zero Noice power supply and build quality is also good

I read a lot of comments about it and it was negative, I don't know why? is all people are dumb or PSU is bad. For meThis is a good power supply. It’s made by Gigabyte which is a reputable company. I used many Gigabyte power supplies before. I never had any issue before( Model Like B700H, B750H )GIGABYTE P750GM like a really killer deal I got it only 5349. It's generally sold both offline and online 7500 to 8000 . Used it for one day so I can't comment on reliability, but so far so good. Worked right out of the box . Fully modular makes for easy cable management, fitment is nice, fit in any Atx case no issue. Please Note : It comes with a good quality 16amp power cable , make sure your socket supports otherwise use an adapter for the plug .  As of now I am happy with my purchase with this PSU. I will update my reviews after 6 months.Amazon PACKAGING was improved. It comes with a cardboard box  but I think the seller tends to sell damaged products , becoz the outside box no wear and tear but PSU BOX Is heavily damaged inside how is that possible ? There is a cut mark as well on the original box plastic wrap like someone would try to open it but anyhow stopped. but not removed .I saw many reviews on Amazon about this seller . People frequently say used products, damage products , Amazon must take action about it .

It worked for about 3 months. Now it is not working. Makes click sound and pc restart without any warning. It happens over and over again. I visited gigabyte service center they will fix it in a week.[Edit] They gave a new one of the same price but different model "ultra durable" but i found out that it was the shorted motherboard that was creating this problem and also the motherboard fried my CPU.

Upgraded from very old psu to this. Working fine for my rtx 3060 ti

First i was scared 😨 because of some videos on yt . But after buying it i can say it totally worth it,Cable management is mass, for me its took time to manage cable well but in the end i managed somehow.

The media could not be loaded.  Cercavo un alimentatore di fascia media che non costasse troppo, ho trovato questa fantastica PSU della Gigabyte modello P650B certificato 80 Plus Bronze per quanto riguarda l'efficenza energetica.Io ci ho collegato una scheda madre per AMD con un processore Ryzen 5 4500 con una scheda grafica RTX 3060 da 12 GB di RAM.Ho fatto questa scelta non perchè ha i condensatori giapponesi, ma soprattutto perchè è stato testato da qualcuno copetente che l'ha messo sotto torchio e poi l'ha smontato per vedere i vari componenti.Dopo la sua recensione mi ha pienamente convinto anche perchè questo buon prodotto non costa tantissimo ma ha tutte le carte in regola per far funzionare bene una build come la mia.L'alimentatore non è modulare ma visto che i cavi sono nascosti a me poco importa, l'importante che sia di qualità, infatti ha tutte le varie protezioni OPP/UVP/OVP/SCP/OCP il che non è poco.Non posso che consigliarne l'acquisto, spero di essere stato Utile per qualcuno.
