Great node easy to set up for raspberry use would buy again

I needed to select the STM32 Moden & Upgrade the firmware. Once I did both things it's been working great BUT it was a massive pain getting there.

Plug and play no fafing about, just needs patience soldering the antenna connector. The gold plating didn't like my solder.

Used it to make a mmdvm hotspot using pi-star and very old Rpi b+. I really thought the pi was too old and slow but works perfectly. Made a hotspot for under £60 all in.

Was working fine had power cut and now refuses to respond to anything and rpi cant even see it anymore bit disappointed

has been running for two months with no problems.

Working OK with a Raspberry-Pi 2B running Pi-Star. Only 3 stars as it came with no documentation or markings and has an unusually high TX/RX offset. The pistar-findmodem command reveals this: "Modem Data: MMDVM_HS_Hat-v1.5.2 20201108 14.7456MHz ADF7021 FW by CA6JAU". The required Pistar radio/modem selection option is "MMDVM_HS_Hat (DB9MAT & DF2ET) for Pi (GPIO)". The TX/RX offset for this particular MMDVM is +6900.

I used this hat on my raspberry pie 3 and it’s works 100%.Only problem I had was getting it to work with DMR and after trying different offsets I got it working. (0 offset). Would have been nice if it had a sticker on it with the offset information just like my others.I would have given this had a 5 star rating but as I had to find the offset I am happy to give it a 4 star rating.
