NEW Zenith model 28-228 replacement 1bbl carburetor made to replace Rochester 1bbl on Chevy/GMC 216/235/261 engines from 1932 thru 1959. All are Manual choke only!! Includes gasket For Chevrolet (not GMC) 1950-62 inline 6 cylinder engines: 216 cubic inch intake c-to-c = 2 11/16"...will fit. 216 cubic inch intake c-to-c = 2 11/16"...will fit. 235 and 261 cubic inch intake c-to-c = 2 15/16"....will not fit. carburetor will not physically fit 235 and 261 engines. Will also replace the Zenith 28/228 downdraft carburetors. Can replace the WE, W-1 & BB 1 barrel carburetors.

2 differences from an OEM carburetor (1955 GMC 100).
First appearances, the only two differences is that the two mounting holes to the intake aren't narrow enough to mount it to my application, I had to elongate the mounting holes. Secondly, one of the fittings that needed to be swapped from the original carburetor is slightly larger in diameter (lower port). You will have to modify to make this work. I'm in the process of mounting it now, did not have a chance to operate yet.

There are no rebuild kits available for this carburetor.

Does not fit OEM manifold. Bolt holes are too close
Product was made in China and did not fit the original two bolt pattern on the manifold. It was Junk. Not happy at all
