This 22" x 60" professional pressing mat is crafted from 100% dense wool, designed to trap and radiate heat for efficient dual-sided ironing. Its large size accommodates oversized boards, while the interlocking wool fibers prevent fabric stretching, making it perfect for quilters and sewing enthusiasts seeking crisp, flawless seams.

Great wool pressing mat
This wool pressing mat is big enough for a rectangular ironing board. It's nice and thick and a reasonable price.

How do I love you? Let me count the ways…
I love this thing. I was worried it would smell after reading some of the reviews, but it didn’t. There was a VERY minor scent (it smelled like it’s made from sheep, go figure, but didn’t smell dirty or anything) right when I opened it, but that dissipated within a day. And there is no increase in the scent whatsoever when I use it to iron, even at max heat and with steam. This is perfect for ironing yardage or anything else large (sheets? large shirts or dresses? slacks if you want to do the whole leg at once?) and it helps hold the fabric still so you don’t inadvertently press a crease into it if it shifts on you. I don’t know that I’ve noticed each area pressing any faster than it did on my old ironing board (I know it “reflecting” the heat is something people like about wool pressing mats but I haven’t noticed that, particularly), but it’s certainly not any slower and I am getting crisper creases than I could on the old one. And I do spend less time overall with ironing since I’m able to do large areas without moving it around, so the time spent rearranging fabric is greatly reduced. It perfectly protects my tabletop under it (it’s a fairly heavy folding table with some sort of plasticky/vinyl top, something I’m positive could melt and be terrible if it did) and it doesn’t get even the slightest bit warm underneath. It also didn’t have any issues staying smooth when I set it on top of something (I left my cutting mat under it, and although I could detect the “seam” when I felt for it with my fingers, it did not transfer at all to the fabric I was pressing; if you have a couple of tables you’re putting together to set this on, or some similar setup where the level won’t be perfectly smooth and level, this mat will still give you a perfect pressing surface). And finally, it’s at least as easy to store as a large ironing board would be, so unless you specifically want a movable and dedicated ironing space, versus just protecting any other large enough surface, this would work at least as well and for a better price. I 100% recommend this.

Been using this for a number of weeks and it is exactly we were looking for! Size was accurate and it works beautifully …especially with the new work table that we are now using as a replacement for the rickety old ironing board (Habutway 60x22 workbench)… We do long arm quilting as a side gig and this checked a lot of boxes! 100% Recommend.

Great pressing mat.
This is the third wool pressing mat I have purchased. The others are smaller. Great quality for a great price.

Leave loads of hairs on my material
The media could not be loaded. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to leave loads of hairs on whatever I’m pressing on it or not, this is the first wool mat I have purchased. I ran a lint roller over it to see how much it picks up, and good grief that’s a lot. I removed it from my board and used a lint roller to clean the board cover and that used up an entire sticky paper. Out of curiosity I put it under my board cover and pressed some blocks on it. In the photo you can see the comparison between a regular ironing board (left) and the addition of the wool press mat (right) under the board cover. It’s night and day. I have been trying to get those blocks flat for a while and wasn’t successful until i added this mat. While I am not in love with all the fibers left behind, putting it under my board cover solves the issue for me, so I will probably keep it.
