Previously was using a big weight to keep the door from closing, and a regular stopper. Installed this magnetic door stop and it's great - catches the door well, no banging. Easy enough to disconnect the door and let it close.

I had just installed new french doors and wanted something to hold them open but didn't want to screw hooks into brand new doors. These seemed like a good idea. Tall part is screwed to the floor with the button part fixed to the door. The only downside, but not a problem, is that the button part needed screwing to the door, 2yich I didn't want to do, so I fixed it with some good double sided sticky pads. The quality of these is really good, they are well made and have a good finish (I had white). The price for this pair is really cheap for such a good quality item.

Great quality very well made the magnet 🧲 is very strong so best to offset a bit so won't be as strong it not needed.

I've never had magnetic door stoppers. I have a few doors in the house that I always keep open. Finally decided to get these during renovation to avoid slamming when windows are open. And boy do they work a treat! The white merges with the paint, so they are discrete. The magnetic strength is very strong. I used screw and wall mounted as have carpets, very sturdy. Best purchase I have made in a while. It helps to be bold haha

I bought these to replace the normal door stoppers, and at first I was a bit hesitant to install because I thought it would be complicated, so it actually took a while before I did. However, once I decided to install them by using three screws onto the baseboards and then two smaller screws onto the door, I found these to be extremely convenient, sturdy, and they hold the door quite firmly.Anyone that complains about not being able to pull the door or that the door has no adhesion, they're not installing it correctly, as I did the first couple of times. I would heavily recommend these to anyone who just wants to open a door and for it to stay open, I am really happy with my purchase and I will be buying these or similar for my next home.

Overall these are really useful door holders but the product is let down by the quality and size of the screws provided. If you only need to attach it to weetabix then use the included screws, for anything else get some stronger screws and make sure the screw heads are small enough to fit under the screw on cover of the longer part.

Excellent performance and great looks.I have used these on external french doors to hold these open. Even in windy conditions these work really well.A bit fiddly to fit re alignment of the two piece arrangement. As as suggestion I would use a piece of double sided tape to the second piece just to aid alignment and then screw the catch in place.Overall, I would recommend these, they work well and are far more stylish than a hook and eye arrangement.
