Almost Invisible!
This is an excellent product which acts like a very thin layer of skin........as a wrap it is so thin and not at all bulky. The color blends nicely with natural skin tones and is almost invisible! It material out of which it is made looks and feels delicate, but it is tough and long lasting. I use it as a wrap on my foot to reset a broken toe and am very athletic and active. It stays put all day and I am not conscious of it.

Kind of like the PostIt Note of bandages.
What did we do before they invented Coban? This stuff has a thousand uses, it's best feature the fact that it sticks to itself, not to the skin. I paid for the original 3M brand because cheap knockoffs are often more costly in the long run.A couple is of questions raised by consumers on this page:* Is this waterproof? Yes and no. Coban is an open mesh fabric (almost like gauze), with the fibers coated in a rubbery substance. Water gets through the holes very easily. However, when I had a wound that absolutely under no circumstances could get wet, the dryest it ever stayed while I showered was when the nurse wrapped it really, really well with Coban. We're talking layers and layers. By the end of the shower, the outer layers were damp, but the wound itself was high and dry. Not even the hospital's fancy purpose-dedicated seals kept it dryer. That said, it must be applied properly to keep it the water out, and the longer the exposure to the water, the more it will penetrate the bandage.*Can this be reused? As I said, it's almost the thickness of gauze, and it really likes to stick to itself. So, once you use it, the bandages get distorted and more difficult to use, and the dirtier the rubbery surface gets, the less it sticks to itself. So, you can't just reuse it like an Ace bandage or something. The wound clinic I went to used Coban to wrap my legs (with a soft, cushy liner between the Coban and my skin). They changed the dressing twice a week and just cut off the bandages and threw them away. That said, Coban can stand to be manipulated. Example: I bought this particular roll to see if it would help keep my compression socks from rolling down (it did). But, it took a few tries to get the tension and position just right. While we fiddled with it, my daughter-in-law was able to remove the Coban, flatten it out, and reapply it without any problems. It still worked like gangbusters. But, I think we pressed it to its tolerance. Just rolling up what she took off and trying to use it later wouldn't have worked.*This is not an Ace bandage. It's rough and can irritate/damage the skin if used improperly, so don't try to use it like one.

Good Wrap
Just like the stuff from the doctor’s office except it seems slightly less “sticky”, for lack of a better term, since it is non-adhesive. Maybe it’s because I ordered the 3” instead of the doc’s 4”. Or maybe the stuff has a shelf life - don’t know. It’s a great idea and material - it stretches and sticks to itself (like Velcro) but doesn’t require clips like elastic wraps.

Authentic LF Coban in Original Packaging
I ordered two rolls of latex-free Coban and received authentic 3M LF Coban in original manufacturer's sealed packaging. It is SO hard to find this stuff! I need it to hold bandaging in place over a surgical incision on my calf. Most places will only sell a case of it -- I assume for doctors and PT offices. It is fresh and adheres well. I couldn't get it to hand-tear, but it just needs a first snip with scissors and you're good to go. The end stays adhered, no tape or clips needed. It has no chemical or other odors (unlike major pharmacy brands). Please note that this is meant to be used one time and replaced fresh each day. I see some reviews complaining that the edges curl up when taken off and so can't be used for multiple days. It's not meant to be used that way -- put on a fresh strip of Coban each day. If you need athletic compression, buy a reusable Ace bandage for that.

Not self adhere at all.
I never write reviews, but have to for this. Save your money. Totally unusable unless you tape it. Defeats the purpose and stated characteristics. No return possible--even for unopened 2nd package.

not very sticky
I am very allergic to latex. It makes me break out in hives and itch. This product did not make me itch, however it is not that great. It is very rough, so the outside rubs uncomfortably on any other skin it touches. The adhesive is not very strong. It stuck ok one time, but if you need to use the same strip more than once, it will not work.
