Great for digital piano
Bought it mostly for digital piano playing. It does work really well with my yamaha.

Good MIDI cable from piano keyboard to iPad for Simply Piano lessons
I know I've reviewed this already but here goes again...Works nicely and seems good quality, but I replaced this with a simple USB B to USB C cable which also works fine and is simpler to use.So it's fine but I prefer the more modern solution.

Compatible, reliable and easy to tell in from out. Great little cable
The media could not be loaded. Since almost everything uses USB these days, the lack of USB on the Nord Drum 3P is very obvious. I got this to connect the Nord Drum to Cubase, via USB hubs, and it's worked 100% reliably - but there are a couple of caveats.First - on mine, the cables come out of the interface rotated 180 degrees. So the one on the side saying MIDI IN is actually out - but for reference, this is easy to remember because the red cable is MIDI OUT, the white cable is MIDI IN, just ignore the labels.Second, the moulded cable sheaths are nice and easy to grip, but they're not 100% consistent in quality. My USB port as an internal wire visible. Not a problem and unlikely to move or wear in normal use, but these may be susceptible to water ingress if this is common, or more easily damaged if it reflects thin insulation there.Other than that it's great - the MIDI activity LEDs are quite discreet (though I'd prefer the blue to be less obvious), and I like the grippy plugs a lot. It's very easy to swap between devices thanks to the coloured braided cable. The included metal-and-braided USB-C to USB A 3.0 cable adaptor is very welcome for modern laptops. Good value and slightly different to the normal offerings - but watch the quality on it and finish, and remember to trust cable colour - not what it lines up with - for MIDI IN/OUT.

works great
I needed to record the midi parts from an old electronic drum kit onto my Mac run Logic X. After looking at tutorials about it online it all sounded quite complicated. But in practice I just plugged them into the computer and set up a drum track and it worked immediately. And without and noticeable latency. Very pleased as I have a couple of old midi synths I now will use to record with.

Don’t assume this will work with your set-up
This won’t work with a MacBook Pro running Logic and a Yamaha Reface CS, for example. Other reviewers have noted that it doesn’t work with their keyboard/laptop set-up either. Build quality is good, and it obviously works just fine for some people, but be prepared for it not to work.

Relieved
I took a chance with this as the Yamaha one recommended was three times more expensive. I thought I had mad a mistake when I couldn't get it to work but found out I had put the input / output plugs in the wrong hole. Once this was corrected, worked like a dream.

Failed after 5 months.
Was great until the device decided to no longer work.
