Ordered this product to condition a new leather couch and it works beautifully. Doesn't smell chemically, goes on smoothly, conditioned and help treat the leather without very much darkening of the color at all. It's a very soft, tan leather couch so I was worried about uneven discoloration or darkening it too much, but this is very beautiful and should allow for a natural patina over time!

I actually like this better than the creams. I used it on some leather gift items for men I bought on Amazon. The leather drank it up and looks much better.

I received this leather duffle bag and journal for my birthday and decided to condition everything before putting it to use. I found this product and decided to give them a try. I used the leather salve first and gave it a good buffing with the brush then applied the oil. The results were better than expected!I was drawn to the company based on them being a small business in the USA and also because otters are my favorite animal! This looks like it is a decent sized container in the pictures, but it is very small! I was surprised for sure. I have used this product on a leather purse and it works well. Soaks in after a while, and leaves the leather looking beautiful.

Bought a black vintage Allsaints leather jacket and otterwax brought it back to life. With treatment it became slightly deeper in color, and the texture improved. The jacket must have been very dry, because I used 1/4 of the bottle wiping it down daily for 3 days before it stopped absorbing the leather oil. Now the texture feels like the finest lamb leather, with no greasy feel, color is deeply dark, with a very supple soft feel. I was hoping the oil would add shine to my jacket, but it is still a matte black with very little shine except along the parts of the leather that experienced a lot of rubbing like the seams and cuffs. As for odor the oil has little to no smell.

Seems to work well - time will tell. It does have a pleasant but very light lemon smell.

I bought this for the bridal leather on my Filson Rucksack. Used about an 1/8th of the bottle one evening. It absorbs into the leather quickly and has a pleasant odor-- not petroleum based. I was disappointed the next day when it looked like the leather didn't get treated at all. If you are looking for something to rejuvenate and condition I'd go with their salve, it is a wax-based product and seems to add more moisture to the leather. I'm going to follow their direction and see if this could be used as a topical touchup periodically for shine.
