well worth the expense
I recently picked up an Epson 3880 and have been experimenting with various Epson media. This paper is stiff enough to handle easily, give you something solid to mat, yet still multi-feed into the printer. The surface is brighter white than most of the watercolor paper I use for my ink drawings, and it creates a very nice print as a result. I don't do photo work, so I cannot comment on that, but stepping up to the ultra premium was definitely worth the price difference for fine art reproductions. There is one small problem with all of the Epson papers I've received so far. The top left corner of every stack of paper has been very slightly crunched inside the box, and the boxes have been undamaged. Apparently, something in the loading or handling process at the factory causes the problem. I notified Epson, but never heard anything back. Since I am matting my prints, which covers this very small defect, it has not deterred me from using their papers, but if you're doing a flush mount without any edge coverage, it may cause you a problem.

Set the platen gap to wide
Great paper, significantly better than the "non-ultra" version if you ask me. The only things you might want to do with any large paper like this:1) Don't tighten the sheet feed guides too close to the paper (like I did once). I'd leave 1/8th of an inch between the left side feeder guide and the edge of the paper. If the paper gets bent inward because the width between the guides is too narrow (easier to happen with large paper), it can cause it to misfeed in such a way that the print head can scrape the paper, potentially causing costly print head damage.2) In addition to setting the paper type (in the print settings) to this exact brand/type of paper, you may want to set "platen gap" to "wide" just to be sure. You shouldn't really need the "wide" setting if you set the paper type properly (as the printer/driver should set the proper gap for the paper you set) but it might not be a bad idea anyway just to be safe. And to avoid waste, it's never a bad idea to do a nozzle check on the blank side of some clean and unwrinkled scrap office paper (if not new office paper) before you print on anything large or otherwise expensive.

Printers Beware!
BEWARE. I was a first time buyer and I wanted to share my ignorance for others. So the paper comes very well packages. I print on an epson 7890 which is an amazing machine and I always use caution. This was a new paper I wanted to try specialty for my printed portfolio of my art. So I read the instructions-prepared my file and printer drivers and loaded the first sheet of paper. I noticed right away a bright sided almost glossy surface on one side and a matt on reverse. I checked the instructions which said “use the bright white side” which to me seemed to be the glossier side which made sense to me, right? I loaded her up and printed my piece when I came to check i noticed a soaking wet blurry print. I assumed i must have used the wrong side. Grabbed another- loaded the matt side This time and again. Awful terrible print. I decided to inspect another sheet ...thats when it hit me. The next page was dreadfully thinner...and Realized-I had printed on the two protection boards. One on each side of the package. No warning. No indication. I felt like a fool. I also. Never expected this paper to be SOOO thin. It’s seriously like plain printer paper Which really was disappointing. I observed it and again was confused because both Sides appeared identical in “brightness”. I loaded it and got a BEAUTIFUL print. Really nice even though the paper was super thin and started to curl up as i ran it to a table to dry. After that i ran another one..and got a terrible dull blurry print. I looked closely and realized I printed on the wrong side.At this point you may be thinking I’m just an imbecile. But please believe me. You have to look CRAZY close at both sides under a bright light. The treated side is almost unidentifiable. You will have to tilt and shine it very carefully to make the right call. That said Epson seriously must put some kind of mark on these protective boards. I was expecting a much sturdier card stock than this but I can’t be alone on mistaking the end sheets for the paper sealed in the bag on both ends. This could have seriously damaged my printer head.

Produces great non-glare photos
I love this paper. It provides excellent results with my HP 6800 printer. I like photo paper that doesn't produce a glare, gives an archival picture and produces bright color pictures on a white background. I really like it for B&W also. It produces good detail also. It has only one side, but that is easily determined in bright light. The stiff, thicker paper runs well through my printer and also works well in self framing situations. I find that the price is good for the quality of photos it produces.

Excellent quality paper! Would recommend.
This paper is of exceptional quality. The few prints that I made appeared flawless. There was one issue that I had, however. Within the package is a single sheet that is very heavy weight. It is unmarked and was intended to protect the printable sheets. Unfortunately, I wasn't aware of this when I opened the package. I made the mistake of trying to print on this substantially thicker sheet. It caused a paper jam on my printer. Fortunately the printer was not damaged. After making a quick call to Epson tech support, the agent instructed me to take a sheet from the middle of the stack. It was immediately apparent that the other sheets were thinner. I've been using the thinner sheets since then and have not had any issues there-after. I would recommend this paper to anyone.

Best paper for art prints
I found this to be the best paper for making prints of my artwork. In combination with an Epson pigment ink wide format printer, the prints are beautifully colored, the blacks very deep, and the image precise. It has a nice weight and runs smoothly through the printer. Be sure to print on the white side, not the beige side.

One corner arrive dented 😟
It’s a great presentation paper, but every piece in the box had a tiny crimp in one corner.
