Watkins Imitation Hazelnut Extract 2oz

Definitely not what i was expecting as to the taste of it, it's more nutty than other hazelnut extracts.

I have purchased a few of these Watkin's extracts for two reasons. Some of the flavors are hard to find in supermarkets, and when you can find them the prices are outrageous. These extracts are a nice find. The flavors are true to life and not candy-ish.

It was exactly what I expected and I am looking forward to using it in our coffee.

Great scent and flavor. I tried to buy it again recently and found out that Watkins produces at certain times only. The distributor was very fast in getting product to me.

JRWatkins had the best full-bodied and rich Hazelnut flavor on the market. It was a match for the Starbucks Hazelnut formula which is the best coffee-flavor version of this nutty favorite. I say, "had" because, alas, there have been some changes that leave the present product virtually flavorless.The current JRWatkins Imitation Hazelnut Extract is •not• the same product that was being sold in the old glass bottle in 2014. The company changed the packaging recently to plastic bottles and, according to the Company spokesperson, they changed the formula for Hazelnut to accommodate some interaction with the plastic.The result is nothing like the sweet and nutty taste of the original glass-packaged product.There is no discernible Hazelnut flavor, only a very faint pale toffee flavor with a metallic note.Very disappointing.

It smells like hazlenut yes. But for coffee I had to use so much per cup it was not AT ALL cost effective. Unlike an almond extract one little capfull does it plenty. This one tokk about three heaping caps and the flavor was still faint.

Watkins Hazelnut Extract is Excellent for Cakes and Frostings I like to make Cookies for that Special Taste of Hazelnut, it adds a Richness to Coffee and to a variety of Desserts. Watkins Hazelnut Extract is very concentrated and a little goes a long way, one or two drops does the Trick for me, anymore than that which is very easy to do and you will get that Chemical under Taste.
