UPDATE: After using the laptop, I've decided to keep it. The dead pixels are in a location on the screen that doesn't bother me. Everything works perfectly on the laptop and I'm pleased and feel it was a terrific price.

Unfortunately, I had to return the laptop. This particular model seems to suffer from a bad solder joint on the motherboard where the SSD is connected. The symptoms of this failure are constant blue screens and drive not available errors anytime the laptop isn't on a perfectly flat surface. I finally was able to get the error code from the blue screens. Irq not equal or less than....or something close to that. Google research immediately brought up numerous issues which were traced to the connector and solder joint. Apparently it can be corrected, but requires someone with special skills to resolder the connector. It just isn't worth it to me, especially since it is such a delicate operation which isn't guaranteed to correct the issue. When the laptop worked, it was great. I like the format and design. I may look at purchasing an upgraded model in the future if I can ensure that the bad solder joint issue has been resolved in future models.

The laptop battery in the "renewed" laptop I purchased is completely defective. It is IMPOSSIBLE for whoever checked this machine out to miss that either through a physical inspection (it is severely bulged) or systematically, as it is the first warning that pops up on boot.I cannot wait for the replacement computer and am forced to open purchase one for myself to keep the timeline for use of the laptop.
