For those complaining that it falls apart, you need to prep the wood before use. It comes untreated and you should know you can’t put raw wood out in the rain and expect it to not fall apart. I stained it and coated with 3 layers of polyurethane and it looks fantastic. The plastic that came with mine was not see through like others have received. It would be hard for birds to see through it so I’m hopeful we should have visitors soon!

I've had this birdhouse mounted for about a month and have no signs of nesting yet. The house is very sturdy and attractive. I put two coats of water-based paint on it and sprayed it with a waterproofing solution. I am very happy with my purchase.

alot of people complain about the suction. the suction didnt “stay put” when i put it on myself, but my husband put it up for me and the suction is fine. hasnt came off, even in the rain. my problem is the back glass. it keeps sliding down. i can lift it back up, but maybe after a day….it slides back down and i dont see any place to fasten it or get it to stop dropping. i do really like it overall though. it’s pretty cute. hoping to see a bird or two this year if it holds up.

Cute concept, but this doesn’t work if you have it hanging from a string. All it does is spin with a little bit of wind. I should have thought about that before I bought. Maybe I can attach it to a tree, but that defeats the purpose of being able to see through it. I’m also not sure the suction cup is sturdy enough to attach to a window. I would feel bad if it dropped with a nest in it like others are saying has happened to them.

First day on the window it was raining pretty much the entire day. Every joint in this bird box separated and every nail that was supposed to act as a helper to the non waterproof glue was nailed in and missed the wood it was supposed to hold together.The box actually fell down from the window and the suction cups remained. I re-glued the entire box and had a finishing nailer handy so basically ended up buying a bird box kit with questionable cuts of wood.Do, not, buy..

I’m very happy with my wooden bird house. It was easy to install. I secured the small stick where birds might stand by wrapping a small piece of electrical tape on it. The bird house was easy to set up and the suction cups are impressive because they hold the bird house firmly on my window glass.

My wife loves it just gotta get a bird to nest in it

This is a great product - I put a clear sealer on it and hung it on window with ease. My kids can't wait to watch the birds build a nest!A few of the reviews mentioned the plastic not being clear - you have to peel off a cover from each side!
