Easy to put together,very sturdy and solid.Bought for my 9 year old daughter as she loves art and she's over the moon with it.Well worth the money.No complaints at all.

Arrived with no damage a flat pack item easy time assemble. Quality isn't as good as it could be a 30 inch metal lip approx 16 vague runs along the bottom edge so when you tilt your work stay in place. The lip is held with a half inch screw at either end which is useless. I had to add extra screws so to fully secure the metal lip and to stop it bending. It's a terrible design fault

I did a lot of research before buying this desk. There appear to be several by the same company built and despatched from China, but I bought this from Costoff at a slightly higher price as I wanted the reassurance of a UK supplier in the event of any problems.It arrived very quickly and as warned, was too heavy for me, as a post 60 year old, to lift. My husband and I could do this between us, though, so no problems there.The item was very well packaged preventing any damage during transit. We checked all parts were supplied as advised, before starting the assembly. The method used by the manufacturer of attaching all the required screws and washers etc on a blister pack backed by cardboard showing the various part numbers was very helpful. Keep the pack intact and only remove the items you need as you go, so you keep track of everything.It is better to do this with two people working together as sometimes the parts need to be held in alignment while the required fixings are tightened. The assembly took time but was straightforward and easy to follow on the diagram. All the holes were in the correct places, the screws had threads, we did not find any sharp edges on the metal and it all came together as described. Once fully assembled, we tightened all the fixings thoroughly as advised.Though it was time consuming it was satisfying to do as we did not encounter any problems.The finished item is a sturdy, good looking and practical desk exactly as shown in the picture . When wishing to work with the top raised I find it easier to stand at the back of it to lift the top to the correct ratchet point, and similarly to lower it back to the flat position.I have only had it a week so cannot comment on the longevity of the item, but so far it seems to be exactly as described and what i wanted.So why only four stars?Well, as others have commented, the majority of people who are right handed like to work with a palette or their materials on the right hand side of their workspace. For unimaginable reasons this design has the slide out table on the left. I spent a long time looking for something similar with the table on the right but could not find anything like this, despite seeing pictures showing the table on the right. It would appear that the photos used had been printed in reverse so if this is important to you, make sure you know that what you are getting is what you expect and not necessarily as the photo shows it to be.Eventually I have compromised by placing a small folding table on the right to accommodate my materials.So far, so happy.

Everything about this desk is fantastic... it was easy to put together... it looks good ... it does what it says.. its stable.. I am more than happy and great value too.

Very good strong product, worth every penny

Here goes the negative....this desk smells awful! The cover on the chair has left my trousers smelling and I have a rash on my backside (I'll spare the photos). The canvas drawers absolutely stink of Parmalan cheese! I am hoping that the smell fades, because it is so strong that when I move room the smell is still in my nose! The other negative is that it isn't easy to glide the table upward.The positives are that it was very easy to assemble and I only required my husbands help once (to handle a heavy part). I like the design of this desk. Very practical for drawing and it will benefit the strain on my back and neck.I'm just so disappointed with the smell. I'm going to dump the chair! And hope the smell on the canvas fades. If not they will be dumped (which will mean that I'll need to purchase a separate unit for storing my pens).If the smell wasn't so awful, I would have issued 4 stars.
