Nice little lighting controller for the money
Rockville has always provided decent Musical and Pro Audio gear for a low price and this is no exception it's fairly easy to use and is a nice little DMX lighting controller for the money

Not terribly difficult for a DMX newbie
I have 0 experience with DMX lighting and this board is relatively easy to set up scenes and chases. Follow the instruction manual and you'll be OK.Durable enough to keep working after a 5 foot fall onto concrete. Learned that the hard way, but it still works great! I'd recommend getting a case for transport.

Flimsy antennae leaves this useless
The antennae is so cheap, it renders it useless. The signal to the lights is week. If there is even a small obstruction such as a chair leg, the signal doesn't reach the light. The Antennae attachment is not secure and wiggles around in the controller case. The antennae itself if flimsy.Secondly, the tutorial videos are incomplete and lack detail. My goal is to use a professional grade wireless system to communicate with the lights, which are great!

Great so far!
Programs exactly like similar products. There is probably better ways to do DMX, but I already knew the process. The wireless in this unit seems fine. I did buy the Rockville brand wireless receivers. No issues so far. I have played a few small clubs and not one issue. Well built. Seems like a keeper to me.

Worked okay, then randomly stopped after for uses!
I've used it only a hand full of times in less then a month. It started flickering from day one as if it had a shortage in the wiring. I ignored it, hoping it was just a hiccup, tonight it went off, and I had to reset it. Now after the reset, some of the little red buttons that tell you what fixture you are on stopped working. Makes it impossible to orgasm lighting without the indicated lights! Sent it back for a refund, hopefully Amazon doesn't give me any issues.

One of the Best .. as long you do your homework “ read the manual “!
Can’t beat this 4 rack space controller .. as long YOU take time to read instruction manual and their “ Rockvilleaudio” YouTube video plus PRACTICE ! . The ONLY drawback: if you plan to put controller in a case ? You will need to take out those nice rubber handles and a need 6 rack space case due to plugs in the back of the controller. Not sure if using 90 degrees plugs will work .. but still a pain to get hands inside . but! I carry the controller in a large paddle backpack .. which does the job for me . Sorry ! I don’t upload pictures as recommended by Amazon . People need to read and increase the strength of reading manufacturer technical / instruction manual’s .. it is way better to minimize man hours on returns , asking around plus looking bad in your gigs because can’t find the power button :) . Thank you

Erases scenes with no warning
Got it set up and loved it at first, works well with MIDI and controls lights well. But I went to start programming scenes and it will unpredictably just erase everything I’ve programmed, with no warning. Tried to factory reset but no help, must be a hardware issue somewhere in there. Super frustrating because it’s basically unusable for my purposes

I want to like this, but it keeps erasing.
I want to like this, I REALLY do, as it was fairly easy to figure out. However, it has a fatal flaw. About 5 times a day it drops all its memory. So I have to reprogram every scene, from scratch. Who to say it won't do this during a show, were I don't have time to reprogram it?!Its very frustrating. When it work, its works perfectly, but this one glitch makes it pretty useless.
