Parker Rollerball
My pen came in a cardboard gift box, gold cover with black and gold insert, so nicely presented for the price paid. I see some people have complained there is no refill - it is cunningly hidden away in the base of the insert in one of the sides. The pen is good looking, a nice gloss black plastic finish with gold coloured metal trim and area to grip when writing. It feels nice in the hand and fits my preference of a slightly heavier pen (35g with lid, 24g without). The pen itself is 138mm long with cap, 120mm without and 12mm diameter at the widest point, 9mm on the grip. Being a rollerball it writes well with nice even ink flow. The pen is new and the cap fits with a nice reassuring click. I would recommend this pen for your own use or as a gift.

BEAUTIFUL PEN, NOTE REFILL IS HIDDEN AND EASILY MISSED!
This is a beautiful pen, has a great feel and at the time a bought it was amazing value at just over ten pounds. It is a top quality pen in my view. There was no refil in the pen and I was very annoyed at first but found the refil hidden out of sight. You have to lift out the card on which the pen is mounted, and on the underside along one edge the refill can be found, but because the cardboard surrounds it, you can not see it is there!!! I note a lot of reviewers say the pen came with no refill and I wonder if they made the same mistake as I nearly did. Such a shame if that is the case.

Smart rollerball with a good solid feel
Smart rollerball with a good solid feel to it, at a price that doesn't break the bank, and from a pen maker with a historic British association (albeit also French and US). Coarser chiselling than e.g. the silver Chisellé (but much more expensive) range. Appearance and reputation matter for me because it's for signing a guest book, but value too, because it might also get ... pocketed ... by an 'inattentive' guest. Came from Amazon .de and delivery was perfectly fast enough. Well packaged. Came with a Black M refill which is tucked away inside the box: the pen itself comes empty, so don't dump the packaging without checking it first! I've replaced the black M refill with blue as that's my preference. Takes a standard Parker refill. I have several 'keeper' pens, including some 40 year old fountain pens still giving sterling service, and this Parker IM hits the 'Goldilocks' price/value point perfectly in this instance. Recommended Parker IM as a model line, and this seller's service.

Superb Pen, destroyed by scratchy refills.
The pen is superb, feels solid, looks the part and you know its a Parker. But when it comes to the ink refill (even the one that came with the pen), a 20p Biro beats it.Scratchy, inconsistent flow. Something so basic, yet, Parker have let a great product down.I've tried looking for British made refills, but no luck so far in high street shops, their all French. Ordered a box of 12 refills, hopefully one of them at least works.Just a huge disappointment. I remember having great experiences with a Parker pen at school over 20 years ago. Now, it feels like Parker have gone for profits over quality. Shame.I purchased my Girlfriend the Ballpoint Metallic Pink version. Wish i had done the same, it works flawlessly, unlike my Rollerball version.Bottom Line:The pen (minus the refill) is superb. The ink refill (which contains the ball contact point for writing) is worse than a 20p Biro that you've been writing on sandpaper.UPDATE:Been in contact with Parker support (who are great). Turns out the refills have a "shelf life", although there was no mention from Parker what that is, or, if there is any way to check a refill. The UK factory was moved to France around 2007. So if you find a UK refill, your very lucky.Parker have now sent me a free refill, and, it works flawlessly. If you have issues with the refills, get in contact with Parker directly to resolve it.

nice quality
This rollerball pen is a decent weight and is very comfortable to use and grip. The gold metal is highly polished and includes a nice pattern engraved in the section by the nib. The lid fits on very securely so it doesn't feel like it could fall off at any moment. The black glossy body of the pen doesn't seem to pick up scratches easily which is very handy if placed in my pocket. Overall this pen looks very, very nice and is comfortable enough to be used all day. It also writes fluidly without thinning the ink out, even with little pressure exerted on the pen; this produces an even finish on your writing.

Another great Parker pen
I do love these Parker IM pens. I think they're pretty timeless, & they make wonderful gifts for everyone. They feel lovely in the hand, being just the right weight & they write really nicely, too.I purchased this one as a present & the recipient was really pleased. This 'Premium' rollerball pen is a modern take on a classic, being matte black in colour & having a graphic line pattern indented over it to give a it a more youthful feel.I purchased the one in a gift box as it was a present, & it came with black ink (fine).
