One Year Review.
We bought 2 of these bikes for our 3-5 year old kiddos on April 15, 2020. The main selling point was the price to weight ratio. No where would I find a light kids bike for anything near $200. Full disclosure, we did get the bikes on sale for around $200. After one year, and many many miles of riding both on-road and on hard packed bike trail, I have no complaints about the bikes for the money that was spent. Both bikes are in good condition and still being ridden 3-5 times a week. You will have to make adjustments to make the bike work well for your riders.Pros:Light-weight frameNo coaster brake (hand brakes only)18 inch wheels provide a bit more gear for my kids who were spinning out their 16 inch bike.Drivetrain has held up well.Cons:Brake leavers, stem, and other components are of lower quality. (However, if you have every worked on bikes before, it's pretty easy to get everything working well for young riders. You may consider having a bike shop adjust what you are uncomfortable doing. Example: Break leaver reach is easily adjustable if you know what you are doing.)Chain cover and decorative elements are flimsy. It may seem as if there are a lot of cons, but for the money ($200 for us) It really can't be beat.

Great first bike!
Only thing I could say negative is I wish it came with a kickstand. My son's first pedal bike (got the 18 in bike), never used the training wheels, he went straight from a balance bike to this bike in an hour or two. Very light weight aluminum frame, easy to assemble, nice brakes, freewheel in the back (which is much better for new riders than the friction brakes). Very nice bike for the money, will beat out any big box store bike hands down!

Not your average dept store bike
Went on the hunt for a bike for our 95th percentile height 3 year old daughter. Looked at all the classic brands (Huffy, Schwinn) you'd see in Wally World and here, but kept getting creeped out by the number of bad reviews. The $170 price we purchased this for seemed a bit high, but we've been happy for 3 big reasons:1) hand brakes ONLY - I don't get why the old "pedal backwards to brake the rear wheel" design is still a thing. Shouldn't kids be learning to use hand brakes from the beginning? Lets them learn to modulate pressure and helps train them not to put their feet down if panicked2) The adult handle - actually the original reason we looked at this bike. Our daughter took a while to develop her pedaling skills and our backs were so sore from leaning down to help pull her on borrowed family bikes. The handle is pretty long, BUT if you remove the seat post using the quick-release, you can still easily, quickly carry the bike in a small car3) aluminum frame - yep it is indeed noticeably lighter than a similar steel-framed kids bike would be; also much more resistant to corrosion which is a paranoia I carry with me as a car/motorcycle guyOther things we like:1) tires have smooth tread instead of the classic knobby bicycle tire. Easier rolling.2) brake lever mounts were loose upon arrival so we were able to clock them to an angle our daughter was comfortable with (any motorcyclists reading will understand why this is worth mentioning)3) the "ergonomic" frame - imagine taking a normal frame and stretching it lengthwise a bit. Seems to be less bouncy and more stable, though I'm not sure how much genuine ergonomic benefit this provides. My only two gripes are with the training wheels. I feel they should stick out a bit wider since the bike is longer. And the wheels themselves are simple one piece cheap plastic. They're quickly getting chewed up by our neighborhood's sidewalks, but replacements are easily sourceable. These two points aren't a deal breaker by any means.Overall it seems like somebody put real thought into the features and parts selection (except for the training wheels) when designing this bike instead of just sending a new paint job sketch to the factory that makes all the other kids bikes. We've gotten compliments on it and our daughter went from being frustrated learning, to zipping out ahead of us as soon as her helmet is buckled.Note that a good bit of assembly is required and the instruction manual seems to cover multiple models with different design features, so you do have to put some care into assembling.

You won't find a better bike!
I love this bike! I was so excited to get this for my son's 4th birthday. My son is very short for a 4 year old and we hadn't been able to find any other big kid bikes that he could operate on his own. This bike is very easy to mount and dismount. My son jumped on the bike and pedaled away like it was nothing. My son uses the bike without training wheels and feels very confident and safe. He can stop and start the bike without any assistance. The bike is lightweight and very manageable for my son to pick it up of the ground and walk it when necessary. The description says it fits a 3 yr old; that may be possible with training wheels, but I think that it may be a little tall for some 3 yr olds without the training wheels. My son is very short, so not a super good guage for height, but he would not have been able to reach the ground safely prior to turning 4.The brake levers may be king of big for some small hands. My son is able to reach the hand brakes, but with some difficulty. We are going to see if they can be adjusted or may look into some smaller brake levers.Overall this bike is amazing. I spent a lot of time looking for a suitable bike and this was the only one I found that met our criteria for an 18 inch bike with a low standover height/ seat height.I forgot to mention, this bike is fast! We chose to upgrade from a 12 inch bike so that my son would be able to keep up with us and take on bigger hills. This boy just flew over hills with ease. This was money well spent! I don't think I could find a better bike!

Unusable. Major parts missing from carton. Saddle damaged.
The carton does not contain a complete bicycle. The steering stem (connects forks to handle bar) is missing. There is no parts diagram in the carton. No assembly manual. There are no training wheels. The saddle is damaged. Sloppy packing allows saddle to rub carton wall. Covering rubbed through.

Best quality in a kids bike
Alot of money for a kids bike, but totally worth it. The aluminum frame makes the bike significantly lighter than my sons old 12'' bike which was getting to be too small. Another nice feature is that there is no coaster brake, just hand brakes like every other bike they will have in their lives. This bike is very ergonomic and adjustable. My son it 36" tall and has no problem riding this bike and it will probably last him 3 or 4 years
