Better then expected
A few years ago I dislocated my shoulder in the ocean, it dislocates forward and then everything tenses and it's a mess to get back in. I had the surgery to fix it, and took care of it but I guess it's messed up again. I can't sleep on my back so a few times a night I would roll and completely dislocate my shoulder, full awake no one to help put it back in (I've gotten good doing it myself with a nylon runner for climbing wrapped around my hand and over the arch of my food, then stretch the leg for the traction), but I have lost consciousness more then one and woke up with it back in.I purchased this because I need more then 2 hours of sleep, I really did not see how an around the arm over the shoulder thing would provide support for my problem but I was desperate. This was my best purchase all year. It does provide support but don't ask me how, and also keeps me from that reaching back motion that makes it jump out. I sleep with it without a problem, I can take it off during the day but don't have to, you hardly notice it. If your shoulder does the thing, get this and the thing will stop. I can't be sure if it's good to wear (ask your doctor) with some medical devices the support works but in the long run weakens the exact areas you need strength in. I am certain another surgery is needed, but I have a chronic medical condition and am sick enough. Plus I live alone (if you couldn't tell from how I relocate my shoulder using climbing gear) so doing stuff with one side out of commission is a mess.TL;DR If your shoulder does the thing this will stop it from doing the thing. Ask your doctor though because sometime medical supports ultimately weaken what you need strength in, and I can't guarantee I am not damaging myself further. I can sleep without my shoulder coming out 3 times a night, and it's comfortable.

Not for average or smaller sized people
This thing is fairly useless if you're on the smaller size. I'm 5'-10" and 140lbs, average/slim build but not particularly narrow shoulders (built similarly to the model in the picture but I less "fit"). I have this thing adjusted as tight as it can possibly go across my chest, the strap around the bicep is wrapped around almost twice, and it's way too lose to be useful. There's so much extra material at the front/collar bone side that I can fit my entire hand in the gaps on both the top and bottom side (photos don't do it justice because I can't actually use my injured arm for a good angle). This product is NOT one size fits all and provides absolutely no stability for me. I'm sure it works great for those who fit this size. Quality seems good otherwise... maybe if I layer it over a few sweatshirts I'll get some stability.

It looks like the picture
I bought this after pinching a nerve in my rotator cuff and wore it for several weeks until I went to the doctor because the pain wasn't going away and she said it did me more harm than good so. As for the time I was wearing it it made my arm feel better It prevented me from lifting my arm too high but at the same time still allowing it to be mobile. The only thing I didn't like about it was sometimes when I lifted my arm the entire strap that goes around my body would flip over and get twisted. Definitely something that you want to wear with a shirt under because it will make you sweaty and if you're like me you'll break out all over where the neoprene sits that includes the strap and the other padding that goes underneath your armpit opposite of your injured shoulder. If there's a smaller size and you need smaller than let's say a 34inch bust then you would want to order a size smaller than this one at times it would feel like it was perfectly fitting and then other times it would feel like I needed to tighten and it couldn't get any smaller. Wasn't really sure what the thing on the side of it was that for like extra straps for holding something like I would assume an ice pack but it won't hold an ice pack. So other than that it's pretty simple to put on. Weird thing is I ended up injuring my wrist adjusting the armpit cushion. Due to what having so frequently it then became a problem for my wrist leading me to need a brace for that as well.

Very large and did not come new!
I bought this because i have a swollen shoulder joint with bad arthritis and spurs. I ordered this new and it came in a ripped up box and had lent on it so i could tell it was used, it was also not in any plastic just thrown in the box. It was pictured as a one size fits most with a woman in the pictures but it is very large, and im a broader shouldered woman. It also does not support the shoulder very well there is no support under the shoulder the snap is closer to the elbow which makes it very loose in the shoulder even tho it has straps to tighten it on top of the shoulder area it doesnt do much. It is not the same brace as the brace pictured in the video or pictures.

If you have a damaged shoulder, this support works.
I'm 5' 2" and 229 lbs. Yup, I'm big. Due to recent developing bad knees, I get little exercise. That is why the first support I purchased was extra-large. Guess what, it was way too big. If you border between regular & extra-large, go with the smaller size. It will fit snug, which is what you want. The way it is made, is easy to get on and off, but I didn't realize that at first. There is a clip up by the shoulder which I discovered late, that really helps. You will need to experiment with the adjustments, to fit you, but once that is done, it will feel so good when on. My aches and pains in the shoulder will almost disappear, once it has been on for an hour or so. It's easy to do some housework, too. I am thankful that I ordered this one. By the way it has a sort of pocket to hold a small ice pack. You can buy ice packs made for shoulder supports, too.
