Sheaffer Gift Collection 2 (300) Ball Point Pen, Chrome Trim, Glossy Black (SH/9312-2)

My boss who is a VP in our company continuously covets my pen whenever we have a meeting. My pen was a gift to me from someone special and I did not want to give it up so I decided to buy him one for Christmas. The problem was I could not find a manufacturer name and thus determined I should look up in Amazon pens and sort on customer feedback. This pen had many reviews and said all the stuff that I was looking for. It had a good weight, wrote smoothly and looked very nice.My boss came by yesterday and pulled out his new pen and basically gave me a verbal review that I will put into here now.The weight: He loved how solid it felt in his hand. He showed me side by side with his previous pen how the Sheaffer one was perfectly balanced. The other pen he had was light and tended to be heavier in the back which made his hand more tired after a day of taking notes.The barrell: He loved how smooth it was and the glossy black seemed to resist the oils from his hands thus keeping the pen shiny with a nice clean professional look.The mechanics: This is what he really loved. The pen is very smooth on retracting the ball point. When the ball point is ready for writing is sits solidly on the paper and the ball point was flawless as it wrote. There were no skip marks at all and he did not have to apply much pressure due to the weight of the pen which of course let to his hand not being as tired at the end of the day.In fact he loves it so much he wants to buy one for his boss the CEO of our company.All in all, a great pen with a great price!

This is not the most expensive pen out there by any stretch. But it has a nice barrel size that is easy and comfortable to hold, and the pen has a nice weight to it that makes it fluid to write with. A very nice pen. (p.s. put the MonteVerde refills in it, they write better than the original Sheaffers).

I love Sheaffer pens, the quality on this pen and weight is great. These pens are top heavy which is great because I have big hands so it actually puts the pressure for me when I write. My only complaint is that the chrome or whatever the shiny metal is, is not palladium or silver looking. It looks a little cheap next to my higher end pens. I definitely recommend this pen, the clip is great and the writing is great. I just don't love it like I do my other pens because of the metallic shine looks a little cheap.
