Best if you need to blend or hide a patched area in a ceiling or wall..
This is exactly what I needed age old roller been around since the late 1930's best for plaster walls an ceiling make sure to use with a plaster thickend paint or a thick plaster wash to achieve best results also move the roller slow as to not fling the pain/plaster everywhere.. love how the new update gives this a plastic core.. allows you to keep this forever if you clean it up after every use..also buy a second one to cut down for a smaller roller an you will be finding areas to use this roller on..lol

Renewed hallway walls.
After covering hallway paneling grooves with drywall mud used roller to provide a very nice looking “tree bark” like finish that covered “slight” surface imperfections.Easy to use and clean. Drywall mud must be a the “right texture”… don’t make it too thin or thick. Experiment on a piece of cardboard until you get desired pattern. Very pleased with product.

Not what it's cracked up to be.
Had to go back over with a brush. Tested on same type of material before going to final area.

Works Great
I used this for a ceiling in the playhouse I built for my daughter. Instead of sanding the drywall I wanted something easier so I bought this and was very happy with the result. Takes a second to get used to the thickness of mud to use but when you do it’s easy going.

Glad to see you can still buy this gadget
Glad to see you can still buy this gadget. It replaced one I had purchased more than 20 years ago, and the local hardware no longer carries this item. It works as intended, no surprises.

Doesn't hold paint or even spackle.
Was hoping to use this as a texture tool. But nothing stuck to it. Ended up tossing. 😔
