Great laptop
Very happy with this purchase. I use it for everything, including gaming and I get great fps and performance in every case, and its heat management is quite good without sounding like a jet engine. Battery life is great for general use, pretty decent for lite gaming using the built-in GPU, exactly as bad/good as you'd expect from any laptop in full-blown performance-GPU gaming mode. One issue I've had is the wifi internet connection drops every few hours and won't come back on its own, requiring a manual disconnection/reconnection from the network. Seems to be a software/driver issue (we have two of these and it happens on both) so I'm looking forward to a driver fix soon. It's a fairly newly-released model so these kinds of initial quirks are not a surprise. The keyboard is great, the layout is very workable and I enjoy that the volume and mic mute buttons are separate and not dependent on a Fn key. Not having a built in web cam is a minor inconvenience in the age of Zoom, but I do appreciate the slim bezel this affords. Overall, the best all-around laptop I've had in a long time.

Amazing beast of a machine
The Asus zephyrus g15 is a great laptop. AMD Ryzen 7 4800HS cpu and an Nvidia GTX 2060 gpu in this beast with 8 cores and 16 threads this laptop eats through everything from gaming to creative cloud. Wifi 6 with plenty of ports to add externals. Gets a bit warm but still within reason. The speakers are really quiet so you need external speakers or a headset for sure. No camera but has mic and it works great.

Know what you are getting.
A lot of the reviews on this very slim laptop are of people complaining about temperatures. Yes the laptop runs hot if you are gaming and is to be expected for a thin and light. Under load the fans push out plenty of airflow to keep the system cool under reasonable conditions. For example, it would not be smart to run games like CS:GO with uncapped fps as you do not have the winds of Boreas cooling the chip like you would in a desktop. I personally bought this laptop to be a portable machine that can handle multiple virtual machines and the performance has been excellent.

Great product, with minor flaws.
I’ve used this computer (with the RTX 2060 graphics card) pretty consistently for 2 days now and have tested most of it’s general features and have play tested a few games that I believe would really push the graphics card to it’s limits. Below I will explain my personal opinions about this laptop, and why I believe it is a good value purchase with minor flaws.Pros-•This laptop looks awesome. It is fairly sleek and the metal top cover is beautiful. You can tell it’s a heavy duty laptop, even for how slim it is.•Games run flawlessly. I have play tested games from STEAM and PSNOW and was very happy with how the games looked and played.•The user interface on this computer is intuitive and fun to use. It also runs so smoothly like a knife through butter.•When you buy a laptop you don’t expect your speakers to be anything overly impressive, but the speakers on this laptop are actually pretty good. The music is clear and even subtly bass-y although not incredibly loud.Cons-•The metal cover is beautiful to look at and feel, but if you’re anything like me, fingerprints might drive you a little crazy and the fingerprints on the cover are very noticeable. I would try not to touch it the best you can, although that seems rather difficult to do.•As many people have pointed out, the cooling fans can get rather loud. Although they do not really bother me at all, they may bother some. The laptop can get pretty hot, but if you aren’t using it on your lap, I wouldn’t be too concerned about that.•Easily the worst thing about the laptop is it’s battery life. I haven’t quite found the sweet spot of how long the battery life lasts, but lemme tell you, it’s a couple hours at most IF you aren’t running anything too heavy in the background. This is a laptop you are generally going to want keep plugged in unless you absolutely need to run wirelessly for short bursts. In conclusion-Overall, $1500-$1600 may seem like a lot for a laptop, and honestly it is for the average person, but there are way, way more expensive laptops out there and for what you pay for this, it seems to be the most bang for your buck. As a gamer, I am very impressed with the way it handles games. Having used it for perusing the internet and once already for a ZOOM meeting, it runs so smoothly with virtually no latency issues. It’s just a smooth, powerful machine. It has it’s corks, especially the low battery life and cooling fans, but it does what it’s intended to do and for that I am happy. I recommend this product.

Great Laptop! With a few small quirks
Was needing an upgrade for mostly running CAD software and Rendering, I decided on this laptop and I was not let down! The battery life browsing the web is about 7 + hours, which is amazing for a gaming laptop. Plays games fine, it idles around 45C, I have not taken out the vent covers as I am still debating that. The highest I have seen it get was 89-90, however I have not had an extended gaming/rendering session yet to see what the real numbers would be.The quirks ...The ASUS Software Armoury Crate has ghosting all over it. Not sure what is going on there, but it is bad. Fusion 360 is not as crisp lettering as I would expect and what I get on my MAC.I am sure there will be other apps that dont play well with this laptop, I just have not found them yet. League of Legends looks fine, Steam is fine, etc etc.Overall I would highly recommend this laptop as the screen is beautiful, running 240Hz I guess is a cool thing? I just enjoy the nice 15.6" screen. If you are debating between this and something else ... just know this one is a damn solid laptop!
