Rockwell RW8928 3-1/8-Inch Sonicrafter Oscillating Multitool HSS Semicircle Saw Blade with Universal Fit System

These last longer, are much sharper than most of the "budget" offereings. 10x better than the Harbor Freight ones, for about 3x the price of the Harbor Freight product. These also seems to last quite a long time, at least on drywall they do.

Son, 12, needed to be able to use power tools without much parental direction and this bit was the perfect choice for his minor cutting needs. Dad still had to use the big power saw from time to time, but for small jobs this was perfect.

I like it! Good price!

Cuts a wide variety of materiels. Especially wood panelling. Softer materiels like insulation and plastis are a breeze.

This new style Rockwell blade does NOT fit my Sonicrafter hex hub. I had to send it back.

Cutting door jam to install flooring. Took forever to cut pine .

Arrived on time and was exactly as described.

Update: Well. maybe one star. When getting ready to return this item , I noticed that the cardboard in the package was double layered, so I thought I'd see if there were any directions I missed. I did miss something: a magnetic hex fitting spacer stuck inside, designed to allow this cutter to fit on hexagonal fittings. WTF? And there was another spacer for use with Dremel, Bosch, and other vendor's fittings. This fitting allowed a better attachment to my Sonicrafter. and has nubs on it to fit onto the "universal" cutter, but still it eventually started slipping.Using a magnifying glass, I noticed that the package has a note about these fittings in what appears to be a 4 point font 1/4 the size of the rest of the printing on the back. Even my young son couldn't read it without assistance.Sonicrafter should really note on the package, in larger letters, that this cutter may not fit its own products. While the cutter worked a little better with the spacer, it still did not work as it should. I'll be sticking with the Oshlun versions in the future, which have been giving me good service.Original Review:This does NOT fit on an actual Rockwell Sonicrafter. The "universal" collar is too small by about 1/16 inch, meaning it won't fit around the hexagonal collar on the device. I had purchased this to replace the same item that originally came with the Sonicrafter as it's a nice cutting blade for metal and general use. Dopey me, I thought that purchasing an item with the "Rockwell' name on it meant that it would actually fit a Rockwell product. Nope. There is no indication on the package or in the Amazon description that this blade is limited to certain models or makes. This baby is being returned, and I will be sticking with the "non-universal" Rockwell tools.
