To say the least, this game is awesome!
It's a completely dungeon focused Zelda game, with multiplayer as it's focus. It can be played in single player mode, but it is more difficult. Anyways, the costume mechanic is cool and quirky, and adds a sense of customization in how you approach dungeons with your team, adding something fresh to the experience. Teamwork is key but even if you end up screwing around with your team and losing it's still fun anyway. The icon based communication works surprisingly well and you'll find yourself enjoying it after a while, as while it is limited it also gets the job done quite well. The story isn't as deep or involved as other Zelda games, but that is because this game takes place in another land called Hytopia, and can be seen as it's own contained experience. With a light-hearted comedic tone and a ton of awesome gameplay mechanics built around each dungeon, this game will give you hours upon hours of great gameplay and thrilling adventures with you and some friends (or random people) at the helm. Add in a wonderful soundtrack that brings varied adventurous melodies to your ears as you play, and this is one game you won't soon put down.

A fun game to play with friends
It’s one of the best 3ds multiplayer made in my opinion. A must have for Zelda fans.

A Fun, Unique Zelda Experience
The Legend of Zelda: TriForce Heroes is not an epic, 30 hour Zelda adventure. And that's okay, because it doesn't try to be. Instead, it's a fun series of 32 Zelda levels with boss fights or large enemy group fights, rare loot, and a good overall aesthetic. It's not the most complex Zelda game of all time, but it's definitely fun and worth playing for series fans.GAMEPLAYThe gameplay varies somewhat depending on the mode you're playing. There are 3 core options: local co-op, online co-op, and single player. All three modes are pretty similar. You traverse a series of levels, solve classic Zelda-style puzzles, use items and figure out the most effective use for those items, all with the focused goal of reaching the end of the stage. There's decent variety in the stages, and the puzzle mechanics are quite intelligent. A lot of the puzzles reminded me of prior series dungeons, such as the two dungeons in Wind Waker where you're tasked with completing the dungeon alongside an NPC.Online co-op more or less worked, though it seemed to vary based on the relative quality of the Wi-fi. The host can kick you out by quitting the game, which could become an annoyance. Additionally, the online play had some performance hiccups, though that could be fixed in the near future by a patch. The emoticons seem to allow effective communication with your two co-op partners in lieu of voice chat, given that voice chat is not an option. However, my experiences online varied greatly. One dungeon I completed was a lot of fun, working with two other relatively skilled players. Another was an annoyance because I was pretty confident that one of my two partners never played a Zelda game before. If you don't feel confident in the online play with random partners, local co-op is an option. The biggest irritation to me is that it's local 3-player co-op, and that's it. Nintendo did not include any mechanism for two-player co-op. If you have several friends with 3DS systems, that might not matter (and download play is available if the others don't have a copy of the game). In my case, my wife and I like to play co-op games together, but we were unable to just play by ourselves locally, which was a big disappointment. I can see situations where siblings or two friends might want to play locally and won't be able to, which is a misstep. Finally, there's the single player option. This is where I spent the majority of my time, and I frankly enjoyed it quite a bit. The story isn't extraordinarily long or anything, and it's kind of dumb, but the gameplay is fun. Single player is different because you essentially control the three Links and whenever you control one, the other two just stand there. This is the mode that most reminded me of the Wind Waker dungeons mentioned above. It's different from Four Swords Adventures and the games in that series because each Link always remains independent of the others. It works despite a sort of micromanaging feeling to it.Regarding the remainder of the game, there's one town which isn't that big. It reminds me a little of Minish Cap. The outfit thing works pretty well and gives you special abilities depending on which outfit you equip. The controls are tight and everything basically works. If you played A Link Between Worlds, you know what you're getting. Frankly, if you played any top-down Zelda game other than the stylus-controlled DS ones, you've experienced this game's basic controls already.Summary: TriForce Heroes' gameplay is fun, functional, and generally enjoyable. It has smart puzzle mechanics, and a good interplay between your Links. The online and local co-op experiences will vary greatly depending on your partners' skill levels, but as a single player game, it is plenty of fun.GRAPHICSIf you liked the graphics from A Link Between Worlds, good; that's pretty much what you're getting here. The art style is a little different, falling more in line with the Wind Waker's Toon Link aesthetic, but it's a good looking game. While the backgrounds and environments aren't anything special, the key word is functional. Everything works and is pretty to look at. I played the game with the 3D slider on most of the time, though I was using a New 3DS XL, which makes a pretty significant difference.SOUNDThe sound effects are typical Zelda and match any and all expectations. The music is very good, and there are some really neat things that Nintendo did with it. For example, when using download play, the players without the game get 8-bit remixes of the music. Also, when you're towered up 3 Links tall, depending on which one you're using and your position on the tower, the music varies slightly. Nintendo is known for its little tricks like that, and it's a welcome bonus here. The actual music tracks are standard Zelda fare. Some remixes, some original stuff. It has almost a French cultural musical style to it. Play with headphones on if you can.SUMMARYIn a lot of ways, TriForce Heroes gets things right. It has a degree of self-awareness that works well, recognizing that this is not the next Ocarina of Time. It offers something unique in the Zelda universe: a multiplayer-centric co-op experience that plays well and is right at home on a handheld. If you want an epic Zelda quest, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, and A Link Between Worlds are much better places to look (also, Link's Awakening, Minish Cap, and the other Zelda games available on the 3DS eShop). This is a Zelda game that's broken down into a series of digestible levels, each one offering something unique. If you understand what this game offers and it sounds appealing, you won't be disappointed. It's not a pure, traditional Zelda title, but TriForce Heroes works well and offers a fun experience. Definitely recommended.

good game, not for very small kids as you have some puzzles that are challenging.
interesting game. I've never heard of a doppelganger (spl?) but it's double of you lol. In this case you can play with people online or play with 2 doppelgangers, which are dummies that transform alive and you alternate controlling the say the red character and blue character as you are the green character. But you travel to these different locales to gather items that makes you be able to create a stronger wardrobe. For instance i'm at the beginning and i made a bomber suit that lets me throw bigger bombs lol. Anyways, you get the idea as you defeat foes, and puzzles and gather more items to make yourself stronger. It's an interesting game and makes you think to solve the levels to get to the next.

Mostly single player these days not many online anymore
I played the full game, finished it in a few days, but for if u try playing online with 2 others it takes a while. It’s best to play locally with friends. Not many people use the 3ds anymore but still great game to have!

Great game! (Only with 2 other people)
This game is great if you have 2 other people to play with you. You only need one game with two additional systems so that is a plus, but we have always played where everyone got their own game. It’s about teamwork and it is one of the best games on the system. But single player kinda sucks. Oh and two players isn’t allowed.
