unlike many other generic impellers, this one is quality with a metal inner sleeve

Great part, but you should also replace part 359448 every time you do the impeller
Genuine part works as well as it can considering the design!I HIGHLY recommend also replacing the rubber sleeve that connects the pump to the shaft when replacing this, he part number for it is 359448. It WILL fail!!! It's an extra 30 seconds of work and the part is $13, but let me tell you from experience that it WILL ruin a night on the water!

Worked great
We purchased this for our boats generator. It works great and not that difficult to install (we did it ourselves). We watched a video on YouTube on how to install it and they mentioned making sure the fins face the right direction, you really do not need to worry about that. It is rubber and once it starts to turn they just go the right direction. We purchased spares to keep on the boat for back-up.

Good replacement
Installed and functioned perfectly in my Kohler 5kw marine generator. Longevity is unknown, but installed and tested fine.

Crumbled in less than 1 year, going back to original equipment manufacturers parts only.
I bought 2 StayCool impellers for my Volvo Penta engines, and 1 Staycool impeller for my Kohler generator to put on a boat I bought. All three of these came apart in 1 years time. All the rubber went into the heat exchangers, and I had to tear all 3 of these off to flush them, out and get all of the rubber debris out of them. What a huge pain. Never again. I did all the work myself, so didn't cost me any more money, just wasted time.. It was not worth any money I saved over buying original equipment parts. The rubber compound on these must be inferior. I will always buy Volvo and Kohler branded parts from now on.
