Little Mermaid (Well Loved Tales) Mass Market Paperback – International Edition, January 6, 1981

I have always enjoyed the Well Loved Tales stories! I had many of them as a child that were destroyed by siblings as time went by. I found these, to my delight to be exactly the same as the ones I had many years ago! The Little Mermaid arrived on time and in excellent condition for a used book! The story is a classic and the artwork is gorgeous. I will always treasure this book!!

this is the little mermaid story that I've read and loved way before Disney's Little Mermaid came.. having the book now and reading it again at this age reminds me that this tale is more than just a children's story.. read this to your kids at their early age and they would love it even more towards the remarkable ending.. one of ladybird well loved tales' best!

Anybody losing their mind over the casting of Disney’s live action Little Mermaid needn’t look to this original for much comfort . Spoiler: sad ending. This tale is dark! However I love it just as I did as a child. PS I can’t wait to catch the new Little Mermaid

This is the original mermaid tale which has a sad ending.nice artwork.I have been looking for this version since a long time.not available in the Market.luckily found in Amazon.Thank you Amazon for making it available.This story I had read in childhood.

This has a massive nostalgic value for me, being one of my favourites growing up.The Ladybird version is beautifully illustrated and I have bought it as a keepsake more than anything. However, it's still transporting to read even thirty years on.
