Great product. Very sturdy, very quiet. Adult Chinchilla owner
This thing is so great. If your like me, you've tried a ton of wheels. None of which were actually silent lol. But this one, is super sturdy, quiet, and my chinchilla loves this one's so much more then any other one I've got. He's on it so much more, which is obviously a great sign. And its very big, so my overweight chinchilla fits just perfectly on it

Our Chinchilla's New Favorite Activity...Great Buy!
I was a bit wary purchasing this item. Our chin had never before had a wheel or saucer, so I wasn't sure he would like it, and this is a pretty expensive gamble for a pet toy. It arrived in one piece (no assembly required), and I removed the sticker, washed and dried it, and put it in his cage. He was immediately interested but was scared when it would move. It was certainly amusing watching him figure it out over the next few days...lot of stopping too suddenly and spinning like a merry-go-round, which made for some great videos. After 3 or 4 days, though, he had it down, and he LOVES his saucer now! The saucer itself is SO quiet, even after a month of pretty constant use; however, our chin does like to push it up against the cage so it makes a satisfying (for him) noise as he runs. We keep pulling it back to the center, but he obviously enjoys the noise since we've watched him run silently for a few seconds, stop, move the saucer, and then run happily for several minutes as it squeaks against the metal side of his cage. We could secure the saucer to the bottom of the cage pretty easily (just know that's an option with the way the base is built), but since he has so much fun redecorating, we simply haven't. This saucer was definitely worth the price and will last a long time. Just wish I'd bought it sooner.

Don't buy it!
Altered my prior poor review of the product. It broke down after 3 months! BUT then I found out on the original website that owners need to replace bearings every few months, for a cost of a few dollars. BINGO! Works silently again! soooooo....be aware it is an amazing product, but needs upkeep. Buy the bearings at the Exotic Nutrition website, very reasonable and quick shipping :)PS our Chin absolutely loves the wheel!!

Kind of awkward
It’s made really well but it’s a little awkward for my small animals to try running on because there is nothing for them to fall back on. They don’t really seem to like it. I may have to wind up selling it on Facebook marketplace just to get half of my money back.

They cannot chew it up
The media could not be loaded. This thing is surprisingly light and moves around their cage. It is metal and i'm glad they can't destroy it. It is very quite except if the move it across the cage and even then it is not quite. Those little critters chew through everything else. It even came with a wrench, which is odd. I'm not sure what it was for maybe to tighten it so it doesn't rotate as fast.

Sturdy, quiet wheel, but animals refuse to use it
I love the idea of this treadmill style wheel and it seems to be extremely well built, silent and smooth, but perhaps it is too smooth. The wheel spins so easily, with no resistance or friction, that all of my animals are afraid to use it. I fist purchased it for my prairie dog who loved running in his traditional wheel, but needed a larger wheel, so I decided to purchase this as a safer alternative. the wheel spins so easily, as soon as he tried to step onto it he was flung off. He eventually figured out how to get onto it, but as soon as he started moving it would completely spin him around and fling him off. He tried a few times, but it was just too stressful for him. I figured it was just a learning curve so I left the wheel in his cage for several months, but he never touched it. I eventually replaced it with a large (15inch) traditional wheel and he was immediately back to his regular workout routine.Thinking it might be just him, I tried the wheel with my rats for a while and then a chinchilla. Each animal had the same experience and none of these animals would use the wheel. I am now trying it with another small chinchilla who is curious about the new device in his cage but has not been able to use it yet, so I am hopeful, but not confident.
