Mineral Fusion Gray Root Concealer for Hair, Dark Brown, 0.28 oz

I had never used a product like this before, but without being able to get into the hair salon my grey roots are showing, yikes, so I needed something! This product works great, no smell & blends well. I have light-ish brown hair with low lights & highlights (and grey roots on my crown & around my temples). The end with the spongy applicator works well for the crown area, I applied it in a brushing motion, let it dry a couple minute then brushed it through with my gloved fingers, it blended will & covered most of the grey so it looked natural. I used the mascara applicator side for the hairs around my temple, that worked good too. I would recommend this product. The product does come off on your fingers, so use a disposable glove.

I color my grays with henna but it's kind of a pain in the butt so I've been using this to bridge the gap in between henna-ing and it totally gets the job done! My grays are mostly around my temples/hairline aka the most obnoxious and visible areas and this does a good job covering them up. Super easy to apply and drives quickly so you can run your fingers through your hair without the color coming off on your hands. I don't particularly care for the sort of tacky feeling it leaves in your hair but you gotta take the good with the bad. The ingredients are pretty clean too, which is an absolute must for me.

For a few gray hairs this type of product seems like it would work well and it’s a mineral based product, but this one does not seem to color well unless just sparse gray roots. It also leaves your hair looking oily and you need some time for it to completely dry and be careful about it coming out and discoloring anything put over your hair.

This product may not be for everyone. It isn't ideal, but it works well enough for me. The bad: The mascara wand end gets tangled around my hair and pulls it out from time to time; It is difficult, if not impossible, to get all of the product out with the wands provided. I use a disposable mascara wand to get out as much product as I can; The soft smooth wand is pointless in my opinion; It comes off on my fingers if I rub it or scratch my scalp. The good: The product doesn't get hard and stiff in my hair. It's a sticky and tacky at first, but after it dries I don't really notice it unless I scratch my head; It lasts about six months or longer but it all depends on the user; It provides decent gray coverage and blends into my hair well. I use the Dark Brown.

I was hesitant to use a root concealer - does this really work? How will it look? And so on. I am not able to get my hair colored for 3 months, due to chemo treatment, and researched a product that would not only help conceal my roots but was also "vegan", paraben/sulfate free. I needed a product that would be very gentle on my hair/roots.This is a great wand, goes on easy, blends well and I like that it comes out with a quick wash.

This didn’t work on my few grey roots at my face in my dark Brown hair at all. Kind of covers it initially though maybe the one I bought is too light for dark brown hair so it seems to accentuate it, like highlights. Then you’re supposed to brush it but I have curly hair and don’t brush it so when I just leave it there or finger comb it, it just disappears. Like doesn’t even last 45 minutes. Waste of money for me.

I love this company, Mineral Fusion, and this concealer is so awesome. It is slightly sparkly instead of matte, which blends into my hair so quickly and perfectly rather than looking like I painted it on. I am hoping that this product is still available to purchase...it has been hard to find. I like that it is made of natural ingredients.

I wish I knew about this product years ago- it's really easy to use, covers greys completely, and doesn't feel sticky or stiff. It lasts two days easily in my hair, as I wash every other day. It's also very reasonably priced- I've seen similar products for 4 and 5 times the price! My only minor complaint is that the actual amount of color in the package seems small, but I will happily buy more when I run out.
