I have been wanting to learn to make Macarons with my kids after trying them at a French bakery. I heard they were hard to make but this kit made it so easy. It was explained perfectly and allowed my two kids to do a lot of the work along side me! The clean up was very simple, nothing stuck to the mats and the piping bags were sturdy as well. I cannot wait to try new colors and flavors. I really suggest this set for anyone with kids to love to bake!!

I'll start by saying that I have never made or eaten a macaron before. My 5 year old has toy macarons in a new tea set she received and of course wanted to make real ones....what 5 year old wouldn't want a cookie filled with frosting? So I purchased this kit and a box of macaron baking mix. The kit does come with it's own recipe but it was way to detailed and time consuming for a kid that was only going to end up sucking frosting out of a pastry bag. That being said....the baking kit was easy to use and clean. The little circle templates printed on the mat made it easy enough for my 5 year old to pipe the batter herself. We had an entire tray of perfectly shaped blue macarons in less than an hour.

I don’t particularly like silicone mats for baking macaroons. The first batch melted all over the place. Then again that could’ve been the recipe I used. I followed a different recipe which specifically said use parchment paper because silicone mats leave to much moisture in the cookie. I tried parchment paper and they worked out much better. I will use the silicone mats for baking cookies and other goodies, so I’m not disappointed there. They are easy to clean and roll up nice to fit in the cabinet or drawer. I love the piping bags which are also easy to clean and store. The piping tips have a plastic fitting on either side to keep it secure. Very nice set. Happy with my purchase.

Learning to make macarons. Package contained what I need to get started. Very helpful because there is so much to learn and this kit took care of the research . Also included were a step by step guide and important tips that are not included in most books and recipes
