NordicTrack Incline Trainer X11i
Machine ran great up until the warranty ran out and then Icon/iFit initiated their kill switch and wouldn’t assist in getting any parts repaired. I paid for service and the service technician would never call to set up a service call. All help is via computer bots or India call centers.NordicTrack is a racket and should not be purchased. If you value your health/time/money, then do not by an Icon/iFit/NordicTrack brand of product. Local technicians are not allowed to order parts and they will force the equipment owner to jump through hoop after hoop, while never coming to a solution.I have paid hundreds in research and personal time thus far.

Not Good For Running
I purchased this unit through the NT website, along with the extended warranty and tax for $2832 in mid-March 2016. In the beginning, everything went smooth. I purchased the unit and in 10 days it arrived, no issues. It was VERY heavy, but installation/setup was pretty easy. Within the first few days, I heard a loud metal-on-metal clanking sound coming from the rear of the unit when either my wife or I was running greater than 7mph (I am 200 lbs, she is 120 lbs), coming from underneath the belt. I checked the manual, nothing. I took off the plastic housing and using a mirror located a piece of metal hitting another electronics piece and silenced the noise w/ a piece of foam insulation. A couple days later I noticed the deck would not hold a 0% (horizontal plane), but when running 7-7.5mph the deck would drop to the lowest setting, -6% decline. The monitor still indicated 0%, but in actuality the deck was a -6% decline. I inclined up to 5%, and the deck would go up but then drop back to a decline again after running for a few more minutes. This happened over and over; at one point I had raised the deck and the console/monitor indicated 15% incline but the deck was actually declined to the lowest setting (-6%)! A week after arrival, I called customer service to start the process of returning a defective unit and I requested a full refund of the purchase price. For the most part, the return process has been okay. I spoke to a phenomenal person at NT "Kerri" and she sent me a new box to package the unit as well as fully explained the process. A couple other people I spoke to were not as helpful. I had to follow up a couple times to coordinate the freight/shipping pickup to come and pick up the unit once boxed and placed on the curb; there was a mix-up with the freight company too, but eventually that was corrected as well. It has been over a couple weeks now, and I have received a refund for the warranty so far, but not for the incline trainer yet. I had to pay freight to ship the unit back of $199, and I am ok w/ that but do not want to pay for a restocking fee since the unit has an obvious defect. I don't know if the unit I received was an anomaly, but it appears to me that the arm to raise the deck is just not sufficiently engineered and designed to hold the stress of someone running horizontally, especially since there is no support on the front of the deck like 99% of all other treadmills. If you are using this only for incline walking, it probably would work fine; however, I would caution against running. Perhaps the unit I received was just defective, but for the price and hassle of returning the unit I was not going to chance requesting another one.

Can't Go Top Speed When Declined
The Nordictrack Incline Treadmills cannot go their listed top speed of 12 MPH when inclined beyond 15% or when declined. The speed is slowed down considerably "for your safety". This fact needs to be included in the treadmill's specifications, but it is not! It's buried deep in the users manual.

strong motor and just enough deck cushioning.
I bought this treadmill in December and it's working great. the large monitor, and tech controls are very nice and easy to use. I'm a bigger guy, 265, the motor runs really smooth and doesn't skip unless the incline is over 24%, but for running and walking it works great. Very soft when running, soft on the knees as well. I can't run for long distances on asphalt, this has been the perfect solution for me.

Extraordinary, Extremely Useful, Expectations Exceeded
Purchased 12/15. Set up was easy using the set up guide. Operation of the machine perfect. Heart rate strap very useful and informative. I love the travel maps. I've walked all over the world from my home. Not to mention I've lost 11 lbs so far. I would recommend this to anyone who wanted to exercise on a daily basis.

Rarely used Screen died.
Rarely used treadmill, after sitting for about a year turned on, no screen, nothing works. Called customer support, said the main board was bad, spent the $250 dollars, replaced the main board and was not the problem, turn it on still nothing. Still no help from Nordictrack. Got a treadmill repair company to come look at it another $130 and told the display was bad. so for another $650 i can have the screen replaced. This is a known problem and Nordictrack is not willing to do anything to compensate me on a $2200 treadmill that at this point is a #500 paperweight. I would definately avoid Nordictrack products.

Persistent issues
Treadmill was great for awhile but then the software issues started. I've had to have the console replaced because they put out a software update that bricked the machine and made it unusable. That was 2 months of waiting for it to get fixed. Then I've had multiple times where the machine will lock up and you have to spend 30+ minutes on the phone and video call to get it reset. Which means you miss a workout. I would recommend staying away from this. When the software dies the entire treadmill becomes a heavy expensive paperweight.

Shakes like crazy
We thought we were buying a commercial quality treadmill but this isn't it. If you are walking or doing a really slow jog it is OK but if you are really a runner, don't buy this machine. When the speed goes up over 6, the whole machine shakes like crazy. We bought a mat to go under it and my husband spent hours shimming the base and we were able to improve it a tiny bit but its definitely not a machine for runners. When I called to inquire, I was told that it is normal for it to shake because of the incline motor. We did a lot of research before we bought it and there is NO MENTION of it anywhere. It's a ton of work to set up (very heavy to move) and we've tried everything to get it to work. The response when I called was, 'Ya that's normal and we can't really help you . . . call Billing or someone else.' I'm totally disappointed and feel stuck with a very expensive and ineffective machine. I should have bought the Peloton!!!
