Faber-CastellPolychromos colour pencil, tin of 36 (110036)

I swear by these pencils. I've bought loose ones from cass art for the past few years and used them for sketching, but recently decided to take the plunge and buy this set. I always say try some loose ones before you commit to buying the whole set, as everyone wants different things from their pencils.They are really creamy and blend so nicely. I haven't tried them with linseed oil yet, but it's a cool option to have when using them.I do burn through these at a rate of knots though, so keep that in mind. Pencil extenders work to increase their life to the very bottom of the pencil. But because they are so smooth they do wear down pretty fast if you're using them for full colour pieces.

If you want to try a new technique these colour pencils are it. The colours are rich and with a blending tool these produce life like drawings

Lovely colours

In love with these pencils I'm saving for more. First photo I used Faber- Castell pencils. For the second drawing I used these Faber-castell polychromos and the colours jumped off the page, big difference. Very smooth to use. My hands shake badly and at times shoot off in random directions when very fatigued. These pencils can be erased. I've had to make many corrections on the second picture including a very bright strong red line across its centre. Even with layered colours an eraser still removed the line. So impressed!

Sono matite da disegno a base oleosa di grande qualità, molto rifinite e comode. Hanno punta morbida ma non morbidissima, i colori si stendono bene in più stesure.Non sono matite da bambini.Hanno una mina grande da 3,8 mm, davvero eccellente, che non si spezza e rilascia intensità variabile di colore a seconda della pressione sul foglio. Si temperano bene.Le polychromos sono disponibili in confezioni da 12,24,36,60 o120.Unica nota negativa il prezzo, davvero alto.Ho provato anche matite di altre marche di prezzo nettamente inferiore presenti su Amazon ma la differenza qualitativa è notevole.

I am learning colour pencil art at an artist level, only a beginner but enjoying it. These pencils are a go to level for great results.
