Star 015846 Utility Pump Motor Brushes for Star CS511 and Utilitech 148007 Transfer Pump

Rated 4 stars as brush caps supplied were smaller than the old one and as a result were unusable. Tip - clean the brush channel before installing and do a trial fit to ensure the brush travels freely in the channel. Product manual recommends brush replacement every 100 hours. No idea how many hours my unit was operated as I use it occasionally to pump water from a landscape water feature. Old brushes showed little wear though one became stuck making the pump inoperable. Removed the motor housing from the pump to drive out the stuck brush. Be careful not to loose the hokey tension washer on the end of the armature shaft. Runs fine now with the new brushes.

they weren’t compatible with my pump. They fit but the motor wouldn’t work with them as it should.

I have purchased two sets of brushes, neither set lasted more than 10 hours of operation. The original set (that came with the pump) lasted well over 100 hours. Don’t waste your money on these cheap replacement brushes, they don’t last

Orders 2 sets of pump brushes at $21 a piece, charged fo both I received 1 set. Pretty hard to screw up something so simple.... yet they did...... would absolutely not recommend them to my worst enemy.
