Display Ports only - and provided adapter didn't work for me
I just got this to replace a failed original Quadro 4000. It works, and is probably fine, but I've spent the whole day trying to get it installed, and still have to wait for another part to come. It has nothing but four identical Display Port sockets. I need a VGA connection, for a remote console setup I depend on. It does include one adapter for DVI, and I have a DVI to VGA adapter, so I thought it would work, but it didn't. Turns out there are two kinds of DVI. This adapter is DVI-D and my adapter needs DVI-I, which includes four additional pins. I broke away the four pins so it would go together, but it didn't work. No local stores have anything that works to get this adapted for ordinary VGA, so after running around for hours, I've ordered an adapter from Amazon, and will hopefully be in business in a couple of more days.

Very responsive seller.
Installs okay in a Dell 9020. It is a tight fit, but not bad once you figure it out. You have to plug in the power before locking the card into the upper PCIE slot or there isn't enough room to plug it in at all. It would be a verry difficult fit in the bottom PCIE slot if it would fit at all--some of the plugs on the main board would be in the way. Card arrived minus the stereo plug. I contacted the seller and he had the part shipped out and arrived in two days. Very helpful. I use Linux. After installation I booted the system and it came up with the generic Linux drivers running--easy peasy. Runs great!

Bleeding Edge Really Hurts!
So I got this adapter yesterday and installed it in my Z820, downloaded the current drivers from Nvidia and went into the Control Panel to set up the monitor (NEC PA271, with 2660 X 1440 standard resolution). My monitor has a Display Port connection but I don't have a Display Port cable. Nvidia includes a DVI to Display Port adapter, which is how I ended up connecting the monitor. Unfortunately, the only option for the display in the Nvidia Control Panel was 1920 X 1080 resolution. This graphics card ONLY includes Display Port connections so you are strictly limited to that option.I tried everything possible to get this graphics card to increase the res to 2660 X 1440 - no way. I went to the PNY site and there is absolutely NO information available - less than worthless. The only "instructions" that come with the card is a Quick Start Guide that has NO information about installation whatsoever. I looked on the CD in the "manuals" folder and the only manuals provided are for the "other" software options that come with the card - NOTHING to do with the card itself!Infuriated, I called PNY this morning and spoke with John Kowalski in their product support. He apologized for the lack of ANY useful information about the card on the PNY site (he agreed they needed to provide this information). Then he told me the adapter they supply with this card only supports 1920 X 1080 resolution. Why include an adapter that can't support the UHD resolution of the card???So I've spent the morning TRYING to find a Display Port cable. Yeah, right. Good luck there. No one has them - oh wait, the only place that has them is Amazon - but you can't just buy "one" Display Port cable. No you have to add it to a minimum purchase. So even though I just bought an $800.00 graphics card from Amazon, now I have to pay another $30 in addition to the cost of the cable plus shipping in order to buy one from Amazon. NO OTHER on-line retailer has them in stock. Newegg, Monoprice, Best Buy - you name it.So unless you have a spare Display Port cable lying around or only care about a maximum 1920 X 1080 display resolution, DON'T BUY THIS CARD! I plan to return mine!

Knock a star for crappy adapter. Makes me wonder if card is not made well too?
Card fits, that's fine. but I'm sorry but I hate that this card has 4 display ports and no HDMI or something else. The number of display port users vs HDMI are significantly low. after spending $800 on card just sucks nothing that I have that's typical connection fits it. I can deal with that but...To top it off, they give you one free display port to dvi adapter, but mine was not manufactured correctly as in dvi connectors would not fit. in the picture, the side with the slit on left not the pin section, didn't fit. That leads me to one conclusion:So if the card is anything like their adapter then.... the card might be manufactured badly. It may be money to buy a different brand like hp but if theyre more complete and probably higher quality parts there's a higher probability of correctly manufactured parts.Sorry pny, but on what little I have to go on, if u can't make a simple adapter work properly what faith do I have that your other parts or the main card r going to be "good" as well.On an unrelated note, I bought a pny solid state drive for a computer I built year ago & it would not work want compatible. Had to return and go with another brand. So pny has a little history of being cheap with incomplete or broken or not compatible parts. So it's a little more gamble going with pny brand.Maybe spend few more bucks for hp or anther if they offer more variety in display options or better quality is.a bother factor for u.On the good note: for $800 this card works. The new m4000 has 8gb RAM and few more cuda cores so it has a boost in speed/performance at low power. Not a whole lot boost. Really the 8gb vram helps higher work load and the new processor does the same or more work more power efficiently less watts. And from what I can tell

One of the best professional video card on the market leader
One of the best professional video card on the market leader, great for both Autodesk Inventor and Solidworks. Haven't try any games on it yet.
