Supports m.2 SATA only, not faster
M.2 SATA is only 0.6 GBytes/s, where most M.2 NVME SSDs are ~8 to ~16 GBytes/s, 10+ to 20+ times faster. For such slower (colder) SATA storage, you are better off with cheaper (though bigger) spinning hard drives. The MB873MP-B V2 product makes much more sense, pairing pricy M.2 NVMEs with equally pricy OcuLink connections for matching high performance.

Very few Expensive PCIE host cards can run this Product !!!
Like most all products from Icy Dock are great [market leader Products and Company]This particular product however is nothing to rave about. MB852M2PO-B[The only one in their product line that I know of, to be a trap]The Icy Dock website lists to date [July 17 2023] only 2 host cards that would work with this dual tray Device. Those were the 2 cards listed from day 1 as well. Both of those cards are at best $550.00 up to and exceeding $1,000.00, depending on where one shops, most used ones are at that $550.00 + amount. This product is really a great idea, but the economics of it, will never compute. Have a $200.00 product that works only with another $550.00 up to $1,200.00 extra parts, like host card and cables.Someone's bonus will have to be recalled on this one. Maybe the unsuccessfully used and purchased units replaced by their better successor, ToughArmor MB842MP-B. That looks to be a better solution for the same need. ToughArmor MB842MP-B came on the market roughly 3-4 months ago. I know I would make that trade with my DVD Slot Rack, that is caching dust at best.
