Really nice knife and feels big, weighty, and solid, no blade play at all and I like the double locking system, its easy to disengage one handed. The veff serrations cut really well and I find myself using them more than the rest of the blade. The coating gets dirty very easily but looks very nice, the knife feels very strong and can definitely handle being beat and the blade deploys quickly but maybe just flick your wrist with it a little when opening. Mine came used and had a beat box with what looked like blood on the inside but that was just one so good knife:) heres a picture of it next to my very used CRKT M16-01KS

I was spending a ton of time doing research on the knife that I wanted. Everyone has their tastes and preferences including me so it was a bit much looking for just the right one with the right feel out of the millions of knives out there. I was looking for a sharp, sturdy knife. One that will take a beating and will not fall apart. I was actually considering the cold steel recon and then somebody referred me to CRKT and man I was glad they did. The the price this knife was it. Out of the box, it had a really nice feel. The grip feels good, and the blade is just amazing. I am aware that the veff serrations tend to dull out or the tips bend after certain usage. I've been using mine for 2 months now on various things ranging from cardboard, ropes to wood and plastic and everything in between and this knife still chews through it all. I bought a sharpener with it to keep it stupid sharp and I know that this thing will last me a very very long time.Pros.-Grip feels just right, mind that this knife is slightly bigger than your average pocket knife, but I have big hands so it works out perfectly.-After broken in, for a non-spring assisted knife this one has sssuuuccchh a crisp sound when flipped open.-Looks like a fixed blade when opened, and also helps prevent hands from slipping onto blade when in use.-Looks great-Incredibly sturdy. Asides from regular use, I've thrown, dropped, tossed, bent this thing and it still opens the same, no wiggling anywhere whatsoever. The entire knife still completely intact with nothing loose. I took a friends CRKT, non serrated, I stuck both of these into a tree staggered and we climbed up the tree using those knives. we put our entire weight on those, hung from them and still afterwards, functioned like it just came out of the box (I am 5'11" and weigh in at 180lbs). Minus the paint obviously gone in some places from wear and tear.I love this knife and would recommend it to anyone!

I gave this product 5 stars for the price point, 32.00, that I was able to pick it up for, and for the overall insidious nature of Amazon. The blade is frankly huge, and with the flippers one hand opening is easy and ridiculously quick, both left and right handed, at least form me. I'm a big guy 6'2" so frankly the size of this knife is not a drawback, but an asset. I had researched a variety of knives and was aware of this blade before I had found it on Amazon. Their are a number of products both by CRKT, and other manufacturers, Boker, Cold Steel, Ontario, that are similar, some may be harder to find because at least for the time being they are discontinued, I think there, all fairly descent knives for the price and frequently heavily discounted all over online. I chose this knife as my first large blade because, I had previously purchases a CRKT Tuition, and was so impressed with the overall quality, and utility of the product I decided to make another CRKT my next purchase. Their are however flaws, with this blade, a minor rough area in the handle, a little too much play to the blade, a thin locking bar, and annoying propensity for the blade finish to stain, when exposed to acidic material, like when slicing oranges! I know this is an inexpensive work knife but that just should not be happening. if you want an inexpensive large blade folder, that at least for me lasted for years try the Lansky, If the current model is the same as the one I had twenty years ago, you can't go wrong. Lansky is a knife sharpening company and they distribute only two folding blades that I know of, an electricians utility and a general utility. I keep referring to this product as a Folding Utility Knife, frankly because I believe the chances of a Zombie uprising are rather remote. As for the belief that you need to carry a blade as an Every Day Carry, for protection your playing into the knife Manufactures(and gun) cynical (and interestingly unpatriotic, after all who are you going to be protecting yourself from but your fellow Americans, so this great experiment in self government is really a failure?)advertising campaigns (sucker born every minute) I should know I went to school in NY and have studiedly and have worked along side the people who pick your pockets, by convincing you need this stuff. Ironically that doesn't mean it isn't a quality product at a fair price. We Americans after all make the best cigarettes, and I'm a smoker! Thou, this knife was made in China. and who says communism is a failure! Next Review
