Nice To Write, Nice To Hold, Nice To Look At
This is exactly what a no-frills notebook should be. It's durable, it's well built, it looks nice, it feels nice, and the paper is fantastic so it writes nicely. I use this for sketchnoting with a Pilot G-Tec-C4 gel pen and it's a great combination. The pocket in the back is sort of a non-feature for me...I don't use it, but it doesn't interfere either. I wouldn't put anything too substantial in there or it will distort the back cover. This is an excellent pocket notebook; thanks to the rounded corners, sturdy covers, and elastic it will survive normal pocket abuse much better than most books.

20 Years with Moleskin and Still in Love
These Moleskin books are excellent. I probably began using them in the early 2000s and I have always had one. They are excellent. High quality. I like the plain / blank ones in classic size 3.5 x 5.5 inches.

Awesome for my first Moleskine notebook
I've always heard about Moleskine notebooks, and this is the first one that I've ever had. I really like this, and now I'm always going to use nice notebooks, instead of the budget notebooks that I have been using. This is extremely high quality. I carry it around everywhere and I use it a lot. It's extremely comfortable to write on, and the spine holds up no matter how much bending or pressure that I put on it.This one is a small, unlined one, but Moleskine has lined and squared versions, and much bigger notebooks, too. For me, this size is perfect, because I can also put this in my back pocket, if I need to. I also like that there isn't a huge Moleskine logo on it. It's very classy, but not conspicuous. I also really like the strap, which I didn't think I would need, but I use it all the time to close my notebok.

Nice!
As far as the book itself goes, it's GREAT in terms of quality, nice paper, writability, size, and durability, but personally, I like to have lines when I write as opposed to blank pages. I just figured I would try it out since I was in the drawing mood for that particular point of time. Also, it should be noted that I used the entire book up and was happy with it overall. It's hard for me to write straight sometimes, especially when I start to get to the bottom of the page. Also, im a huge stickler for neatness so when I start to see different size words and tilting sentences because I don't have a reference point between the rulings, I start to get weird. So yes, I realize that it's not the product's fault that I chose blank as opposed to ruled -- I think I'm being fair. One little (possible) difference worth mentioning is that I've had the ruled Moleskines AND the blanks, and the paper seems to be different. I COULD be wrong -- it SEEMS to be slightly thinner in the blank book, than the ruled book. It didn't affect me personally, but it's worth mentioning for potential buyers.Summing up: The book is great but consider the ruled pages for WRITING. If you're going to draw, this book will more than suit your needs! You obviously can't build a house on water, and a pool out of a house -- you've got to have the correct medium for your works! Great product, Moleskine!

Moleskine for Memory
I have never been able to keep a journal for more than a few days before I stop writing. However, with the Moleskine notebook, I'm enjoying writing in it so much that I'm writing entries several times a day for the following reasons: (1) The size: This is a small notebook, only 3-1/2 x 5-1/2 inches. I do not feel overwhelmed by writing enough to fill the page like I did in a standard size journal. It is just the right size to fit into a purse. (2) The quality of the paper is outstanding. I use a Monte Blanc pen and it glides over the pages and does not bleed through to the other side. (3) The hard cover makes an excellent board to support my writing.I have a short-term memory loss. I purchased another Moleskine in a different color to keep in my purse and jot down notes of people I meet, so it is easier to recognize them on the next encounter. Also, my notes make me appear very interested in the person by remembering (through reading my notes) what we discussed on our previous encounter.Next Christmas or birthday, everyone on my list will receive one of these great little notebooks. It is now March 2nd and I am two thirds through the book. I have continued to write journal entries daily since January. There is something about this book that makes one want to write. I have just ordered another one and will continue to do so until I can no longer write.

Great creativity companion!
I love, love, LOVE this little notebook! My creativity has gone through the roof and is much more organized thanks to this. Most of all, I’m just glad the price has been reduced – I’ll definitely be buying another now! My only problem is that the pages are prone to become loose and fall out with use, but that’s what tape is for!

Nothing finer.
I'm a moleskine addict. I love the history of this little book. The quality of this journal surpasses all others. I've employed quite a few journals in my past, but this little gem holds up like no other. The binding is sturdy, the cover takes a beating and keeps coming back, and most importantly, the pocket in the back stays put. I usually have at least one, sometimes two, of these journals on my person at all times. The paper bound into these journals is luxurious, the kind of stuff that your pen longs to caress. But the best feature is the owner information in the front cover with the statement:"In case of loss please return to:....As a reward: $__________________"Because you know that the secrets you keep in your moleskine are priceless.
