Great TOTO product (not so great amazon packaging)
Ordered two of these toilets for our home. A month in I have only good things to say. They aren't loud, they have strong flushing power while being watersense certified. The sanagloss makes cleaning easy and the seats close softly. From the picture I couldn't quite tell this, but the tank/back of the toilet is smaller than I imagined. In other words, I won't be putting anything on the tank lid like flowers or kleenex boxes (in addition to being narrow, they are slightly angled down). Overall a superior TOTO product. (Be forewarned that the packaging is a huge hassle - our toilets came in boxes that were placed in another box and padded with spray foam that hardened. Cutting them out was a huge pain for our plumber).

Definitely NOT as advertised
I ordered this from Amazon. It came broken. Sent it back. Bought one from Home Depot, shipped to the store. It arrived in pieces. I ordered a third time, this time from Lowe's and it came in one piece. Installation was very easy. That is the only positive thing I can say about this toilet.I bought this based on all the positive reviews I'd read, and because I tend to need a heavy-duty toilet. I'm sick of using a plunger, and all signs pointed to the Toto being just what I needed.WRONG. The toilet plugged on the FIRST USE. Using a plunger was a mistake, because the exit hole at the bottom is so small that it takes very little to plug it up completely. The "cyclonic action" I read about must be an extra, because there is little to no power in the flush itself. After trying for about 15 minutes to plunge this thing clear, I now have a toilet that is full to the brim with muck, won't go down, and I'll need a plumber to clear it.For this I paid nearly $500? I won't buy this piece of crap again (yes, pun intended.) This is not a heavy-duty toilet, and about all I can see this Toto handling would be a baby with diarrhea. VERY disappointed.

Fantastic Toilet
When we initially installed this toilet it kept backing up; we discovered over time that there was some construction debris obstructing the water supply. Once we got that cleared up, this toilet has been exceptional. I wish I had ordered a taller version of it; it is a low profile unit, but the performance couldn't be better. And for a small tank, it works incredibly well. We have had this toilet now for over 2 years and will be ordering others for our other bathrooms.

Toto toilet is the ticket for our new house.
As we were installing the plumbing rough-in for a new house, I mentioned to our plumber that the toilets in our (then) current house needed a plunger from time to time (we have young kids). Our plumber mentioned that he never had to be called to unplug a Toto toilet. It was the first time that I heard of Toto. My wife, who travels pretty often for business, then started to notice that hotels often had Toto toilets. We ordered our first toilet in April 2013 for the new house. We were concerned that the Toto toilet might be loud (the house is built with concrete slabs and high ceiling so we did not want a loud toilet). Sure enough the Toto toilet worked out well (we did a lot of testing and our kids did not manage to plug it). To make it fail, I had to throw a lot of tightly wrapped toilet paper balls at it to get it to plug. Even with all the paper (never ever used that much in regular use), we had everything back to normal with two swift move of the plunger. That concluded our testing and we decided to purchase 3 more Toto toilets in May 2013. All ordered through Amazon and delivered on time by a supplier. The delivery guys were friendly and called in the morning to check that we would be around to get the delivery. With our old toilets, I would regularly clean up the bowl with Clorox and other chemicals. With the Toto toilets, a quick brush around the bowl is all it takes. Now I can't say that it will remain easy to maintain in 10-15 years from now. But for the time being the Sanagloss seems to do the trick. I have been dumping almost no Clorox or harsh chemicals. The whole family seems happy with the new Toto toilets.

A bit disappointed with the service
We received this toilet. A great brand, but the lid for the water tank was broken in the box. I am disappointed at the amount of time and emails this has taken to try to get this solved. It’s endless. One would think it would be a simple replacement of the piece. Not a happy consumer right now.

Need to flush a bowl full of golf balls?
Toto will do it. Super well packaged, and it's a good thing because the box clearly was not very gently handled during shipping. The toilets (I ordered 3) arrived pronto and in perfect condition. The two level flush is a nice feature: a quick push of the lever will give a very short but effective flush, and holding the lever down will allow the second level flapper valve to do its thing and take down the aforementioned bowl full of golf balls. The slow-closing seat is the icing on the cake.

Nice toilet, faulty insides
It's compact, and looks nice, but when the tank finishes filling the valve slams shut and shakes the pipes. Both our plumber and contractor mentioned this is bad for the pipes. A friend has the same problem with their's as well (same model), too bad they told us after we installed ours. Our last Toto did not do this. We are going to try to resolve this issue with Toto.
