This is arguably one of the best fluoride products on the market, and is worlds better than the common products sold in most stores. PerioMed can perform a variety of functions. This includes protecting/remineralizing enamel, preventing decay, managing [severe] sensitivity, managing gingivitis, managing dry mouth-related complications (and reducing dryness), reducing gum recession, and reducing plaque buildup.Unlike most common products that are "multi-function", PerioMed is different in that it not only performs a wide range of functions, but it also happens to do each and every function exceptionally well. The reason here is arguably the Stannous Fluoride. Stannous Fluoride has advantages over the more common Sodium Fluoride, including a broad-spectrum antimicrobial action that kills many of the bacteria that harm teeth/gums. If you happen to have a dry mouth, controlled studies suggest that the performance improvement of Stannous Fluoride is even more pronounced.Got severe sensitivity that is so bad you have had to change what you eat or drink? PerioMed will change your life. Got serious demineralization of your enamel or are super prone to cavities? PerioMed will turn things around. Medication causing dry mouth putting you at risk for decay? PerioMed is a go-to.A lot of the stronger toothpastes/mouthwashes often have flavors that are awful: luckily, that is not the case here at all. The flavor of PerioMed is a very mild mint and is not bad at all. It does not contain ingredients that burn, nor does it contain ingredients that aggravate those prone to canker sores (like I am.) It also does not leave a bad aftertaste. Despite being mild, it also really helps to prevent bad breath (to my understanding, this is because of the antimicrobial action that Stannous Fluoride has, which Sodium Fluoride does not.)So if you need something that can go beyond what most common toothpastes/mouthwashes can do, PerioMed is an excellent choice (if you happen to need something even stronger, 3M's ClinPro 5000 is an incredible product in a class of its own.)

This product is great for antimicrobial use. Wish it were still available.

I recently started seeing a new dentist who told me I should be using a fluoride rinse every day. No other dentist ever told me this in my adulthood, and I guess I never really put much thought into it, but it seemed like a good idea since I have ongoing dental issues despite my best efforts. He said to make sure it's both fluoride and antimicrobial. But when I started shopping around I couldn't believe the garbage I was seeing, most of them had blue and/or green coloring added, which I hate, and many were full of all kinds of artificial sweeteners, and hardly any were actually antimicrobial, with the exception of rinses containing alcohol, which I prefer to avoid. Finally I found this and it looked great, no crazy colors, no alcohol and is antimicrobial. Score!I did some research on the product and learned about "Stannous Fluoride" as opposed to "Sodium Fluoride", the latter of which is in most over-the-counter rinses. While there is some differences in opinions, the gist seems to be that stannous fluoride and sodium fluoride both fight cavities, but stannous fluoride has the additional benefits of improving gingivitis and reducing sensitivity. But many online articles also warn of potential teeth staining with stannous fluoride, which scared the heck out of me at first. So I emailed my dentist, told him the name of this product and my concerns, and asked if he would recommend it. He said for someone like myself with advanced gingivitis/periodontitis he would absolutely recommend my using this regularly. He also said the staining only occurs with some people, and that if it does happen, I can easily manage it by adding baking soda to my toothpaste, which as it happens I already do. So I felt much better and ordered it.The flavor is very agreeable to my taste buds, not overly 'hot' or minty, but a nice mild mint. It leaves my mouth feeling clean, although it's certainly not intended to be a mouthwash for breath. It's important to note that this is a concentrate, it comes with a little cup and you add 2 full pumps to the 1 oz cup (included) and add water and mix. I personally find the full cup a bit difficult to swish around without swallowing some but I'm getting the hang of it (you of course never want to swallow any kind of fluoride). My teeth look and feel great after use and in the short amount of time I've been using it I've seen no sign of staining. If your overall dental health is good, a product like this probably isn't necessary, but it you have ongoing decay problems and/or gum disease, this seems like a superior option. I'm looking forward to seeing the long term results.

I started using this to lower the risk of periodontal disease developing and so far it has been a real blessing for me. I have had great checkups. Note that this was originally prescribed to me by my dentist. I did not just guess that I might want to use it.

Have used this product for years, buying it from my dentist for over $20 a bottle. The price on here is amazing. Glad I found it on Amazon finally. It helps greatly with sensitivity and receding gums. I highly recommend it.

Doesn't have the same fresh flavor as The one I purchased from my dentist! Very watered down.

EXPENSIVE LIQUID LOADED WITH HARMFUL INGREDIENTS SUCH AS METHYL PARABEN, PROPYL PARABEN, AND SODIUM SACCHARIN.

It's hard to say if it does what it says because you can't see it. But I think it's a good product. It doesn't taste bad like I thought it would. The pump does drip between uses though...
