Seals large punctures even at the rim.
These work great. I ride AZ sharp rock gardens at speed, lots of punctures. Patched three holes at the rim and two in the tread. Lasted for weeks, only works with latex sealant but works great.

Plug large slices from broken glass
These plugs work great!

They work with a caveat
They need sealant to work properly. First opportunity I had to use them I had lost too much sealant for them to work fully. I made it back to the trail head, but had to stop 4 or 5 times to pump up the tire. It got me home but never fully sealed the tire. Not sure they work any better than bacon strips. Might be an idea to carry a small sealant bottle with you.

they work
Do not get much damage the Stans sealant cant fix on its own but the 3 or 4 times I I did get a slash or larger hole these fixed me right up.

Weak piece of junk.
Purchased based on other’s reviews. Putting it bluntly, this tool is garbage. Don’t waste your money. The idea makes sense but I should’ve gone with the industry standard. It’s all plastic. First try fixing a small cut in my wife’s mtb tire that would not seal snapped the applicator stem without inserting the plug. Thankfully the tool has two sides, or so I thought. The second attempt snapped at the point of the plug before being inserted. I had more plugs that I purchased with the tool and could keep trying but was too frustrated and have tossed the kit in the garbage with the rest of my trash. So glad this didn’t happen on the trail. I can’t believe so many have given this thoughtfully designed but poorly executed tool a positive review.Specialized Turbo Levo bike with Specialized tires.

Good plugs
These things are some of the best of technology coming from the bike world. A must have for tubeless tires.

Was a good product but been getting a few "duds"
I found the Stans Tire plugs and have been using them for a couple years now. If you still have sealant in your tire, they will seal amazingly large holes/cuts compared to some of the other solutions (bacon strips, or rubber plugs). However be aware that they are useless without sealant.I have been going through these (I keep the tool handy to quickly stab one in not only my tires but others in my riding group). This is the 3rd refill kit I have purchased.I have noticed I am getting increasingly more "duds". The last refill kit had 2 that the plastic piece went through the tire and left the "cloth" part without pulling it through. So far I have already had that happen on the first one on this set also.I still want to continue to use these but I feel like the price is already a little high for this kit and when I have a few that don't work it is pretty frustrating. Hopefully it is a temporary quality control issue that will be fixed.
