Extra grooves/seams make it feel small
Ball comes deflated and leaves creases on panels. I played with it once, but creases are still there. Some parts where the panel meets seams seem to be separating or farther apart. I also noticed that the air valve is kind of descended into the ball. I can see underneath the panel there. Even after lubricating the needle, it's hard to get the needle in and out of the valve as well. Don't know why that happens. Many other reviews mention that the ball is small, which is true, it feels small compared to typical Spalding, Wilson, Nike, etc. basketballs. I measured the ball though, and it measures 29.38" or 29 3/8", about 1/16-1/8th smaller than 29.5"(as you can see on the photo). But, I also measured going around one of the main seams, and when I measured from there, it's 29.13" or 29 1/8". The ball also has those extra panels/seams that typical balls do not have, for the added grip. Also, the grooves around the seams are deep, which probably is what makes the ball feel smaller, when in actuality, it's really close to 29.5".I also measured a Wilson ball I have and added the pic as well, and that ball is advertised as being 29.5", but in actuality, when measured by the seam and down the middle, it is to 29.75" or 29 3/4" which is bigger than advertised. So... The Molten ball is actually closer to 29.5" than typical basketballs.Another thing I don't like is that this ball attracts dirt and dust and picks it up and holds on to it. This really bothers me, as I play outdoors most of the time. The grip is still good though, and it shoots very well. I was thinking of returning it, but I will keep it to see how long it lasts. There's other options out there that might be less money and better quality for outdoors. This ball is probably better for indoors, just because of it picking up a lot of dust outside.

Fantastic outdoor ball
I shoot hoops almost everyday and buy a new ball every year. I purchased this ball after reading some good reviews on it and I haven't been disappointed.Positive things about this ball:+ 12 panel construction - I don't have the huge hands of a pro NBA player and the extra seams that the 12 panel construction provides gives me a good grip and just feels better than 8 panel construction.+ Synthetic cover - the covering on this ball provides an excellent grip and doesn't absorb water. It's held up really well on my concrete court after 2 months of daily playing.+ no air leakage - It's holds air really well. Other balls I have require adding air every one to two weeks. This one hasn't needed that at all.+ feels great - this ball is just fun to shoot and dribble. The release out of my hand is great and the great grip makes dribbling this ball a dream. What could be better: - it comes deflated and will likely have a few wrinkles in the cover. I found that I could quickly remove most of these wrinkles by inflating it with higher than normal pressure and heating up the cover with a hair dryer. Leaving it out in the sun would probably have the same effect. There are no signs of the wrinkles now. - After first inflating it, It seemed smaller than other official balls (size 7). I measured the circumference of the ball and found that it was indeed smaller by 3/4 inch compared to a couple of other balls I own. After inflating with high pressure and heating it up, it expanded another 1/2 inch in circumference. I think it would have done this on its own through regular play, but I wanted to speed it along. I'm satisfied with the size now.I think for the price, this is absolutely the best outdoor ball to be had.

Best outdoor ball on the market
The bounce is incredible and the grip is pretty good, if maybe a little hard out of the box. Yourbestdigs.com compared the most highly rated indoor and outdoor balls on the market (with some help from prominent coaches link coach Nick from BBallbreakdown) and found this to be the second best ball out of the lineup; second only to the evo which is an indoor ball. They tested bounce, moisture retention and ball bladder airseal.

One of the best balls for outdoor use that I've bought
I've been looking for a long time for a good outdoor ball who's grip lasts longer than like 3 games. I've used this ball outdoors on a concrete court 10+ times and it still feels great. Some people have mentioned that this ball feels small and I did a bunch of research into this and found that this ball may be a tad under 29.5" (like 28.35" or something) but if anyone is complaining that it feels small it's because other balls like the Wilson Evolution are actually larger than 29.5" (saw one place saying that theirs measured like 29.8"). I'm a guard who both shoots and drives and it hasn't bothered me at all.Definitely would recommend, even for outdoor use.

This ball is the BEST...
This ball is the BEST for showing youth the proper rotation of the ball on passes, shots and rebounds (to read where to position themselves). The contrasting colors make for visual cues in ball handling as well... I use this ball EVERYDAY in practice and the kids LOVE to scrimmage with it. AAA+++

A good indoor outdoor trade-off basketball
I read a lot of articles online that recommends this basketball, and to be honest I think it just barely meet my expectation. The ball is on the heavier side when it comes to weight, which took a bit getting used to. It does a good job not absorbing dust outdoor, so it's pretty easy to grab and rotate even outdoor. It doesn't feel as good as some of the indoor basketballs, but I guess that's the trade-off for being more durable for outdoor use.If you play outdoor a lot, this is still a decent choice, but you have better choices if you played indoor mostly.

Great Ball! Distinctive and Highly Regsrded.
This ball gets great reviews all over the internet so I had to try it. It gets high marks in a number of areas. It’s so distinctive that I know I can keep an eye on it while playing. It has a great feel and bounce. The additional grooves add to greater handling and the distinctive pattern helps visualize the rotation on your shot. I agree that it maintains wrinkles when you first inflate it and it takes a while before they smooth out. I remember buying balls already inflated, so I guess this is a shipping issue. All in all this is a great addition to my ball bag.

Nice ball but!
This is a very nice ball good quality delivered quickly! But I was hoping it would be good for grip so I could palm the ball for dunking. This ball is quite grippy but I think the much cheaper nike dominate ball is way grippier and much better for palming.
