This high chair is super awesome!
Anyone complaining about using the tray on this high chair is RIDICULOUS. It is extremely easy to put on and take off. My husband and I can do it with one hand without much trouble. The assembly of this high chair was extremely easy and quick and is clearly easy to adjust later when your child has grown out of the setting you started it out at. It's easy to clean, very nice to look at, it's well constructed/good quality and absolutely worth the price. Our son loves sitting in it even just to play with his toys on the tray and look out the window, watch me cook, etc. It's very stable. He is a very active seven month old baby and it doesn't move at ALL while he is flailing around, etc. The pad is nice enough to serve it's purpose but it's not so cushy that the child isn't using his own rear and back and everything to hold himself up and keep his balance as he should while sitting. The seat belt in it is totally secure and yet not in the way or hard to adjust or too over the top. I can't say enough about how nice and perfect this high chair is! I can't even imagine what those complaining about the tray are thinking. My husband said something like "if you can't operate this tray, you shouldn't have children". lol... you slide the tray into the side clip area... and once you get it far in enough, it clips onto the tray. If you want it pushed in further, you just continue to slide it further and it will clip again. There is a little thing you push down against the clip to keep it more secure and you just lift them up again to "unlock" the side clips. Then you push the underside of each clip up to unclip the tray. It is clearly meant to be done with two hands but you can do one, pull that side of the tray out a tiny bit and then do the other and then the tray is free to pull all the way out with one hand. Very simple. Nothing needs to be pushed or pulled with force or anything to get it clipped and locked in and unlocked and unclipped. I hope that makes sense. It's ridiculously easy. I love every part of the design of this high chair. The ONLY complaint I can think of is that it would be nice if the chair came painted in different colors and/or if the pad came in different colors because I am not a fan of plain wood or the color brown/beige. But that's it! Highly recommended!!

simple chair, great for small space and energetic toddler
We were using a portable chair on top of our kitchen chair to save space since we have a tiny house. My 16 month old daughter started rocking it and tipping (not all the way over, but getting close). We knew it was time to get something else. After we purchased this, my sister pointed out we could have transitioned her into a booster, which may be another alternative for parents out there with a young toddler. Our little one can be hard to contain, so I like the security of this chair. Most important to me, this chair is very stable. She was trying to tip it from the start, and she would get a little movement, but not as frightening as the old setup. Now, she has given up this behavior since the rocking isn't as "thrilling" as her old setup. Also, I have caught her, now 18 months, climbing up the back when not in use and it hasn't tipped (We do NOT condone this behavior, just thought it was an interesting perspective on the stability of the chair, and something else for you to consider when looking at high chairs)This chair looks neat - it is sort of industrial looking as it reminds me of a ladder. Looks tall, but it is for a regular table. If we don't use they tray, she can still sit strapped in, nice and safe. We just bought the tray, no extra accessories. The tray is long and not real wide (doesn't stick outwards far) and has a lot of surface space. The cushion it comes with is fine and wipes up clean easily. I can see this being her chair for a really long time and also happy we freed up a chair for regular guests. The footprint is ok. We have it in a high traffic area and haven't tripped on it. It doesn't fit under the table (without tray) as easily as a chair, but it is ok considering it is a high chair.I am very picky and like to see things in person, so I am not a big on-line purchaser, but they do not sell this chair locally. I am really happy with it and wish I got it sooner to save some high blood pressure moments with my daughter rocking her old chair and preventing a potentially dangerous situation sooner. I thought it was an excellent price compared to similar types of chairs. If safety, a great look, flexibility and versatility are important to you, I recommend this chair.

Sturdy, durable, not-ugly, adjustable height, easy to clean
This is such an excellent high chair, I'm glad I spent a little extra money to have this for my first child and all my children afterwards. It is easy to adjust the height of the seat. My baby fit fine in the chair from 6 months and up. I wouldn't invest in the extra baby cushion inserts, seems like a waste of money when the baby can sit up just fine in the chair without them.Since is it made of solid wood and the legs are spread far apart it is not easy to tip over. My daughter has not been able to rock it from side-to-side at all. If she gets her feet up against something, she can push herself back (she has never managed to tip it all the way back, however), but that is easily avoided by not putting it next to anything that she can push her feet off of.It is so easy to clean, which is one of the biggest pluses to me. All the other baby chairs have all this padding and cloth coverings that food can get stuck in everywhere and rot. This has only a small cloth cover over the seat that is easily wiped off and there aren't that many crevices for food to hide out anywhere. One other great thing is it looks almost like a regular chair, and it's NOT a gaudy, ugly, obnoxious high chair that screams to everyone who comes into your dining area or kitchen that you have a baby. It matches great with our other hardwood chairs and it is very understated and functional and safe. I would highly recommend this to anyone. Pay the extra money and you won't regret it.Basically, I love this chair and think it is completely worth the investment.
