Solid construction, does what it's supposed to do
I really like this Hose Reel Cart... I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews before settling on this one. It arrives in a really big (about waist-high) box and requires complete assembly on your end. Upon opening, as others have mentioned, there is a strong odor... not necessarily a bad one... but it will probably make your home or garage smell like a Hardware Store for awhile (I think its the rubber tires, which btw are high quality).Assembly:All parts needed are included, but there are no spare/extra parts, so make sure you go over the list of parts to put the cart together before doing so. Some other reviews mention the assembly instructions are confusing, others mention they are clear... I know this may sound weird, but I kinda agree with both statements... I think the assembly instructions are laid-out in a somewhat confusing manner, but if you stop and look carefully, you can figure out the proper way to assemble the cart. No tools are included with the cart, so you'll either need to use your own tools to put it together or get your hands on some... mostly, you just need a socket wrench (10mm if I recall correctly) and a good Philips head screwdriver. Everything fit together well, no rattling parts or left over bag of important looking parts. I assembled this by myself... probably took over an hour, but I wasn't rushing anything... I'm sure it could be assembled quicker if this sort of thing is your bag.Final thoughts:Upon final assembly, I was very happy with the end product... it was very solid, felt well-built, looked really good, and everything fit snug the way you'd want it to. It just looks good and feels sturdy... I attached it to spigot on the side of my house with the included short hose... I made sure to use the rubber gasket (included in the package) and some plumbers tape on all the threads (not included, you should probably get some if you don't already have any). Finally I attached a brand new 100' Zero-G 5/8in Hose to the Reel. Turning on the water, I had no leaks at all anywhere along the hose from the house to the reel or the reel to the garden hose. Everything made a tight seal and my hose wrapped just fine on the reel with plenty of room to spare for more hose if you wanted. If you have any water leaks, make sure you're using the rubber gasket (provided) and get some plumbers tape on the threads. I had zero problems with leaks... in fact, my dog was disappointed there was no free water leaking for him!Post-purchase update:3-months later the cart is in fine shape... the "Ironton" sticker didn't even make it into summer... no complaints with the cart, just don't get attached to the sticker.

For long lasting durability.
When I had need of a hose reel, I elected to get a PLASTIC reel. Bad choice. The plastic one , even though it had a one year warranty, kept breaking PLASTIC parts. The last part that was broken kept the handle raised. The price I paid for the new PLASTIC reel was more than $50. I put this reel together in less than 2 hours and I can definitely see the quality in this cart. It moves nice and easy. I only wish that the hose would wind in the opposite direction because it comes off the reel from the bottom and is hard to keep the hose from bunching up as you wind it up. If there is any drawback to this assembly, this is it. Other than that, I find it very sturdy and long lasting. I don't think I'll have any service problems during or after its warranty time frame.

Sturdy unit; fairly simple assembly with minor issues
There was no styrofoam or cardboard brackets in the shipping container, only bubble wrap. As a result, one of the circular rings of the reel assembly was bent. It was not enough to hinder operation or to warrant returning, so I kept it. Assembly was pretty straightforward even though the instructions could've been clearer (as always). My main issue was with the hardware inventory. It says there should be 7 bolts, flat washers and nylon nuts, but there were only 5 of each in the envelope. It took me a few minutes to realize that the "missing" hardware was actually already installed on the bracket that the crank handle goes through. They also provide 5 lock washers and never tell you to use them; they are probably unnecessary with the nylon nuts. Lastly, there is a rubber washer that they neglect to tell you to use when attaching the feeder hose. Seems to be a pretty sturdy unit once put together. Time will tell.

Love this hose reel!
I love to garden!! First off, this hose reel is very large. I love that the hose rolls out easily from the side, not the direction of the wheels. I have bought several metal hose carts and they always roll away from the area stretching the small hose attached to the spigot. I hesitated buying this one because it was so large, but it is in a flower bed and is kind of nestled in there. We probably have 200 feet of hose on it and it would take more. So easy to pull out and roll back up. We have an acre of property so definitely need extra lengths of hose. This reel is very sturdy and I love the little basket. I will eventually replace all the other reels with this one. Love love love

Looks nice, easy to use, but it rusts
It took a while to assemble but was not that difficult. It's already showing rust spots so I will have to paint it. Makes it very easy to use 100 feet of garden hose. Wheels do not pivot, however, so you can only pull forward and back.

Flimsy, missing parts, extra parts, useless instructions
This thing was built in Vietnam, which is probably where the instructions were written, as well. Not all of the parts that were provided were addressed in the instructions. The labels on the parts that were provided did not match the names that were used in the instructions. The screws provided do not fit. After two solid hours, I have this thing mostly put together, but will still have to go to the local hardware to get shorter screws that fit. Now that it is (mostly) together, it is flimsy and rickety. It was NOT worth the time OR money that I spent on it. If there were any way to give this zero stars, I would. If I still had the box, I would return it. Just a piece of junk all the way around.

Great Product - Assembly Required
Overall it’s a great solution for needing to store your garden hose and also move it around the yard. It’s really solid, and seems like it will last a long time. It was terribly difficult to assemble, and you’ll definitely need a socket wrench to put this together. The feeder hose that comes with the cart isn’t the greatest and leaks, which is a bit disappointing, but something I’m sure that’s fixable with a new hose. Overall, seems like a good purchase and less expensive than some of the other models out there.
