Havana 33 - Vanguard Havana 33 Camera Messenger Bag

What a great bag! I was looking for something with versatility, where I could take it out on long travels, day trips, hikes, as well as work-days shooting onsite or in the studio. Previously I had ordered a different camera backpack (by Zecti) with excellent reviews saying how every inch of it was made to carry or attach something (which is usually lacking in bags I have owned, not having enough compartments) and saying that it was perfect for traveling, etc. But what I found was that the Zecti bag, although attractive and seemingly comfortable from the photos, really had no "give" (felt very stiff) and the many buckles and straps actually took away from the everyday use of the bag, especially because they were not all removable and there was no thought put into where the buckles go when not in use (I feel like this is a commonly overlooked issue). If you're anything like me, you're searching for a comfortable bag that almost conforms to you, where the weight is evenly distributed, and even resembles the look of a real book-bag... not just a rigid box with straps (where's the romance in that?). This Vanguard (Havana 41) camera backpack took me a while to find. I kept thinking 'there's something out there that's better, I know it" and sure enough... Vanguard appeared in my online search. I was determined to find a bag with enough pockets, a front-opening for the camera, comfortable fit and attractive ("vintage" is usually my style), smaller in size than the Zecti bag I previously bought, with the hope that I could still find one with a chest and waist strap if I was lucky, as those are SO handy when hiking and many bags that I found to like didn't have those straps. Anyway, along came Vanguard! Not only did they offer all the 'bells and whistles' I was looking for, but they even had options.. a variety of bags to choose from! I immediately was drawn to the smaller of the backpacks (Havana 41) and when it arrived, it really blew my mind. It's incredibly form-fitting and comfortable for my size (I'm 5'8"), the material is not rigid at all, it has extra loop holes strategically placed around the bag, great variety of compartments and sizes, material and stitching appears to be excellent (time will certainly tell), it's attractive and best of all it features a removable chest strap and backside pockets to hide the waist strap! I've noticed that some reviews had mentioned the size of the camera foam compartment not fitting their DSLRs, and if I had any criticism for this bag it would be in regards to that, but (to me) it's just a snug fit for my Nikon D850. I like to keep the 50mm lens on for quicker access, and again, it snuggly fits face up (see photo), but I can imagine how it would fit smaller cameras a bit better. Regardless, I am beyond happy with this purchase and will always keep Vanguard in mind for any future bags needed.

Really like this item, lots of pockets. it fits my 13 inch laptop no problem. the laptop portion is padded, but just for extra security i will be getting another padded sleeve to put my laptop in and then put into this bag. the portion that holds your camera and lenses is padded nicer than the laptop portion, zips shut (so its even padded from the top), and the whole thing is completely removable. it literally floats in the main compartment with nothing holding it in place. this might sound like a bad thing but you're going to have plenty of things to put in that main compartment to eat up the space which will keep stuff from moving around. i put my lens cleaning kit and laptop power cord there and it fits perfect. the bag seems well made with lots of stitching. the only weak point i see is the front buckles are made of a lightweight plastic which over the years might break, however i'm no plastic buckle expert. for 80 bucks you really can't get anything better, i'm excited about this purchase and really like the bag so far. normally when i travel, i have a drone in a backpack on my back, a piece of actual luggage that i wheel behind me and my laptop bag. now that i have to introduce a camera and lenses into my travel set up, this bag will kill two birds with one stone by eliminating my normal laptop bag while keeping my camera at my side where i can access it easily in case a pretty girl walks by ;) that was more than i had intended to write, hope it helps, happy new year everyone!

This is a VERY premium backpack. Very happy with my purchase. This is a very versatile backpack for the average DSLR owner. I love how well crafted every inch of this bag is. It's very appealing to the eye. I love how the camera box is removable to use on it's own. With the camera box removed the upper flap can be un velcroed and flipped down to make the entire inner pocket use able. I fit my Nikon DSLR with a 18-55 lens with a wide angle lens converter attached no problem. It's measure about 7" long as seen in one of my pics. The tripod holder on the side is great and really adjustable to hold it tight to the bag. The chest strap and the waist strap are great too. The chest strap is able to be un clipped and raised ot lowered to fit your chest the way you want. The waist strap is able to be tucked away if you don't want to use it as well. The rain cover is great too. Has its own bag that it stuffs into and fits the bag well. This will be a very useful bag for my daily use and hikes.

I like to travel and take wildlife photos. This bag seems really good for that. It holds my camera, chips batteries, charger and another lens(not a 600mm lens of course). It has a collection of pockets inside and outside that accommodate passport, masks, wallet, 13 in laptop, plus cables, earbuds phone and other essentials to have in your 2nd carryon bag. It also slides over the handle on your other carryon so it won't fall all over the place and you don't have to carry it on your shoulder. Everything I could ask for in a travel camera bag

These Havana 36 are very appealing and nice quality camera shoulder bags for the price.

This is a combination laptop or tablet bag with place for camera gear and other items. It is about medium size, my laptop is about a 14 inch size and it just fits snugly, so if you have a bigger laptop get the next size up in the Vanguard bag. I have two other Vanguard shoulder camera bags in the tan color but you need to be careful that you get the right size bag for your needs. They are certainly fine looking bags.

Me encanta esta mochila. La calidad es muy buena y si que llama menos la atención que la mayoría de las mochilas que gritan "Aquí hay una camara".Me preocupaba que en muchas reseñas e incluso videos en YouTube donde dan de punto negativo que el espacio para la cámara es muy pequeño y solo cabe la cámara y un accesorio prácticamente.Yo logré poner mi cámara con lente y otros dos lentes en el compartimiento:* Nikon D5600 con lente 35mm* Lente 18-55mm kit* Lente 70-300 (mide 15cm)Es cuestión del acomodo. En las fotos les dejo como lo pongo.En los videos muestran la cámara puesta así boca abajo ocupando dos espacios...pero la realidad es que el compartimento es profundo y se puede utilizarel espacio de abajo.No diría que queda apretado, pero si lo suficientemente justo para que no esté muy suelto todo y poder abrirla estando de pie sin miedo a tirar algo.Espero les sirva el comentario para que tomen una decisión más informada. A mí me encantó el producto.

Ive own many camera bags. I must say a bag is personnal to every person. What could be the best for someone, could be the worse for someone else. Or vice versa. With that beeing said. I have now found the perfect bag. Perfect in every way. With only the removal of the insert, i get a standart messenger/laptop bag.
