Love it! Pls buy!
My dwarf hamster loves it so much. It is very open and big, which is great for your hammies!! I got this for my hamster as an upgrade from his old cage, and boy were we satisfied! But, as much as I love this product, there are a few flaws. #1. The wood is soft. Sadly, though the cage is great the wood is pretty easy to break, but if you are careful with it, then you will be perfectly fine and so will your hamster. #2. Not for burrowing hamsters! In the cage there is a bin with not that much depth, so it limiteds the bedding. But, you can still make a lot of bedding at the back, and have no trouble. But some people don't, and the hamsters are limited to there burrows. #3. The wrapping might be stuck. I know that you probably have no idea what I meant by that, so let me explain. When you first get the cage, it comes in different parts, and the part with the glass has wrapping around it. Well, this wrapping is really hard to take completely off. Fortunately, I was lucky enough to get it almost all off, but many other people haven't, so if you would not like that then you might not want to buy. OK, that's all the flaws I found. Otherwise this is a great cage for hamsters, mice, guinea pigs, etc. I truly loved it and think you should buy it!

Very nice hamster cage once you add some re-enforcements
I bought this cage for my Syrian hamster. The size was wonderful and it was great to have that extra level. The scent of this wood is very strong. You will need to air this cage out for a few days once you get it. Do not place your hamster in it until it has aired out a little. The scent will go away. But it is so strong at first. Please keep your hamster safe by airing it out for a few days first.Hamsters need 10-12” wheels and when you add one the only place possible will be the second level. Here are some ways to keep your hamster safe:-Please attach your wheel to the side of the cage because if you don’t then it could fall over possibly trapping the hamster under it.-you will not it be able to have the third level in the cage once you add the appropriate sized wheel in there. That’s ok. The cage still offers a lot of space.-the Ramps are a little steep. I would highly suggest getting some popsicle sticks and gluing them down to allow the hamster better traction to go up and down. You could also add popsicle sticks to the sides of the ramp as a safety rail. I used simple cheap wire cutters to make the popsicle sticks the correct size and non toxic hot glue to glue them down. Be careful not to add so much glue that it comes up from the sides because the hamster might eat it-The top of the cage is not very securely stapled down. Please please add a bunch of staples to secure it or maybe even staple another layer of chicken wire if you can, as any animal like a cat could jump on top and it might possibly cave in. So please be careful and reenforce it with extra staples. Make sure the staples are secure and do not fall out. Hamsters will put anything in their mouth and that would be bad.-my hamster started peeing in the corner and the pee soaked into the wood. The scent became bad. I could not find anything safe to coat the wood in. Someone suggested polyurethane but that is not safe and the smell is horrible and could harm your hamster. Please make sure that if you use a substance to coat the wood that it is non toxic and the fumes cannot harm your hamster. Let it dry completely before letting your hamster back into the cage. I just made sure I scrubbed the corners daily with hot water. I did end up buying sand dishes for each corner and shoved them into the corners so he would pee in those instead of the wood.-my hamster did start to chew at the edges of the bottom floor, however, the cage was sitting on the floor. Despite chewing into the bottom tray, he could not chew through the walls and escape. Keep an eye on what your hamster is doing when you clean your cage because you don’t want him chewing through and escaping. My hamster didn’t chew a lot so I didn’t worry.Overall it was a wonderful cage. The plexiglass offered a nice view and the top of the cage allowed plenty of fresh air. It was easy to clean. The space was wonderful. I filled the bottom with his bedding, little houses, and sand Boxes. On the bottom I also placed his food and a water bottle that I attached to the side of the cage. On the second level I placed his wheel and another house And toys . Looking back now, I would have used popsicle sticks to add railing to the second level. But also, my hamster kind of liked jumping off the second level into his bedding. It wasn’t that high and he didn’t get hurt because I did have a lot of bedding on the bottom.Side note- I would keep my cage in another room separated from my other pets like cats or dogs. Please do not allow cats or other pets to malinger near your hamster cage as the scent of those animals could frighten your hamster.Update: I bought another one of these cages and the design was a little different from the first one, which I love. The first one did not have the chicken wire material on the side.....it was all wood. The newest one has the chicken wire material and my hamster loves it because she can stick her nose out and get fresh air. The other one only had ventilation on the top. This new design is great for her.

Really roomy and cute solid cage, lighter and flimsier than you’re expecting
Pros: This arrived in 3 days instead of the estimated 1-2 weeks. Light and very easy to assemble. It’s huge, but I have a syrian hamster and they require this kind of room and lots of bedding. It comes with tons of floors and accessories and is extremely roomy and safe. It also looks really nice as opposed to a detolf or bin cage which can look bulky.Cons: The treated wood has a strong odor at first and I suspect it soaks in liquid, but I just put it together yesterday and haven’t had to clean yet so we’ll see. I might recommend waterproofing the floors. The cage is also a little flimsy (see: cheaply made) and in my opinion a bit overpriced. However it’s really light and easy to move. The mesh squares are about .25 x .25 ins which is plenty big for cat claws, and as you can see my boyfriend’s cat is very interested in his new roommate, but I easily cat-proofed it with some tape coverage. I also had to take out the 3rd floor so the wheel would fit in the cage, but that’s fine because my hamster is an old man who wouldn’t care much to go to the 3rd floor anyway so it’s not an issue for me. It might bug others, though.Overall i’m happy and excited about this enclosure and really hope it works out in the long run.

Gap around tray and my hamster is eating the cage
The media could not be loaded. Not suitable for hamsters that chew!!The idea of this cage is great- there is a lot of space for a hamster to run and I think my hamster enjoys it. However, it’s cheap. When assembled correctly, there was a large gap where the bottom tray slides in. The gap was big enough that I think my hamster could have squeezed through. I was able to fix this by removing some screws and moving the support board to make it tighter. Secondly, my hamster is eating the bottom of the cage. It is wood. Hamsters chew wood. I’m worried he’ll chew his way out. Lastly, the wire mesh that makes up the sides and top is a bit flimsy. The concept of this cage is great, but execution is lacking.I contacted the company who offered me a little bit back with the suggestion of using a bitter spray to keep him from chewing. The spray did not work. The hamster still continued to chew. I am keeping the cage and will make my own modifications. The company did offer me a full refund to disassemble and return the cage, but I instead took a 30% refund.
